I saw in a TR about how someone got one there. I know DH would LOVE to do this. Is R&C the only option? btw...I need it to be a restaurant...we will have DS8 in tow. Yay for Disney buses!

OK -- I'm not a Scotch or Whiskey connossieur (did I spell that correctly?). Are they the same thing? I guess Scotch is a kind of whiskey??

Anyway --- We did go to Raglan Road last year, and they do offer a wide variety of Irish whiskeys. I don't specifically recall flights being on the menu, but I'm sure they will do them.

I do recall that my husband was looking at the Bushmills and Jameson whiskies on the menu -- wanting an after-dinner whisky. They had on the menu probably 4 or 5 different ones (different ages) from each maker. He asked the server for assistance in selecting one. They had another server on staff who was almost like a sommelier for whiskies. He came to the table and gave a lot of helpful guidance. It was very educational and fun.

We loved Raglan Road --- food and drink were great.

A flight is basically a sampling of maybe 4 different "whatevers".

For example, at Artist's Point and California Grill, you can order a wine flight. It's 3 or 4 different wines -- could be all white, all red, all Chardonnays, etc.

Some places offer beer flights.

What's being discussed here is a whiskey flight. So you would get 3 or 4 (I've always seen 4) different whiskies. Each whiskey would be in a smaller quantity than if you ordered it alone. The 4 different ones might be related in some way ---- for example, they might all be Bushmills at varying ages (6-year, 12 year, etc) -- or they might all be the same age but all from different makers. Some restaurants will allow you to create your own flight/sampling.

It allows you to try different ones. Then, of course, when you're done, you order another flight, or you order the one that you liked best. But you don't have to order more.

There is Scotch Whisky, Irish Whiskey and of course American Whiskey (Bourbon). All just each country's version of a similar drink.

I would imagine that Raglan Road's whiskey flight would feature Irish Whiskey since it's an Irish Pub, but don't know for sure as personally, I can't stand the smell/taste of the stuff!

What restaurants (or bars) at WDW do you know of that offer some sort of sampling flight ---- wine, beer, whisky, etc?

Artist Point -- wine
Artist Point --- beer (I think I recall that correctly)
Big River Grille & Brewery -- beer
Raglan Road -- Irish whiskey
Rose & Crown -- Scotch whiskey
California Grill -- wine


I'll bet there are more. I wonder about Le Cellier (Canadian whiskey, or wine?). I also wonder about Jiko, since they have an extensive wine list. Same with V&A.

Any others?

Oops - I must apologise to our Canadian friends.

I've also seen the beer flight at Rose & Crown mentioned on a recent TR, too. It had all types of beer from - lager to Guiness.

DH's boss gave us a bottle of Johnny Walker Gold Label--aged 18 years. We finished it last weekend, and I don't know how I'll go back to drinking regular whiskey. It was so smooth, you inhaled it rather than drank it.

I read in a TR about "the League of Nations" beer flight at Ragland Road. Did you have a different one? How much did it cost?

Definitely yea for the buses! And yea for Disney Dollars!!!

Brown Derby has a wine flight. Some of the lounges do as well. The Disney Cruise Line has martini and wine flights.
