Is a new camera worth it?

Our printer/dock also charges the battery as well as powers the cameras. It doesn't require a computer to be connected to it. The docking capability was just an added bonus. The thing I like best about the EasyShare cameras is the fact that they are easy to use, fit in your pocket and are inexpensive.

Myself, I use the Nikon Coolpix 8700 (8.0 megapixel) which has so many buttons/features/etc that sometimes I find myself getting confused.

Since buying our first digital camera in 1998 we have over 30,000 pictures. I can look back at the files and see each upgrade of camera. Those early pictures didn't even hit 1 megapixel and in comparrison to one we've shot recently it shows.

Granted some people may not like Kodak EasyShare cameras but when three of the photographers in our family are aged 3, 8 & 9 I enjoy the fact that the cameras are easy to use. The 4900 (5.0 megapixal) was our second Kodak EasyShare. The first having been a 3900 (4.0 megapixal) both cameras are still used by our children.

The docking stations are very handy for using with stand-alone photo printers.

Here is a link to an awesome deal on a 4.0 megapixel Kodak http://www.officedepot.com/ddSKU.do?level=SK&id=544290 from Office Depot for only $100

I am sorry to have missed this deal. I just went to this link and the camera is now $199.99. If you find another deal like this, please PM me.

Thanks!
