Wanted to book for our trip next July, do we need to leave a deposit if we call universal or what about booking thru loews. thanks

I just booked this morning on the universal site, using an AAA code. The confirmation states that 100% of the first night will be charged 5 days before check-in, but others have confirmed here on DIS, that no charges are made until check-out. I believe if you phone Universal and book that way, they will charge the first night. They did that to me several years ago.

When I booked through Loews's website a few months ago for our upcoming (8/19-23) stay at HRH, my AMEX was charged for the first night.

Although it states you will be charged one night for the deposit, I have never been charged prior to arriving. I have booked my stays using both the loews and the universal website. Of course this process can change at any time.

Book with the intention of being charged one nights rate as the deposit.
