Is a Beagle a good dog for an ADHD boy?

English bulldogs are GREAT with kids. Our first one used to eat marbles...we'd find them in the yard in the spring

My kido has ADHD and I can't imagine a noisy dog on top of him For that reason I wouldn't choose a beagle....

We "had" two dogs until a couple weeks ago. The most loving giving dog I have ever known passed away after 14 wonderful years She was a yellow lab and loved us all sooooo much. I truly can not recommend labs high enough. They might not be the smartest but they will love you with evey inch of their bodies. Patient, kind, loving - that was "Sammie"

The other dog still with us is 6 years old Austrailian Shepperd. Smart as a whip, loyal, and loving... BUT not for anyone that does not have a lot of room. She would be nuts without the 2 acres we have "fenced" with underground fencing. Also she is not the most "patient" dog I've ever known.

I think those of you that recommended a dog from the shelter are right--I think we need to match the dog not the breed.

That is a perfect statement. You have the right perspective on the situation. I hope you find the right dog soon!
