I can only speak for my own family (DH, myself, two DS's 25 and 17, DD 23,
and DGS 5). On our last trip together we had a 2 bdrm lockoff at BWV and at times felt like we were climbing over each other. Our DD and DGS (he was 3 at the time) slept in the queen/studio portion, one DS slept on the pullout in the studio and other DS slept on pullout in living area. DH and I were in the King.
DH insisted for upcoming trip in January we reserve either a GV or a 2 bdrm and separate studio so everyone can have their own space at times. At first I didn't want to eat up all those points, but, then saw his point. We'll all be happier if we're not climbing over each other. So, we're at VWL .......in a 2 bdrm and a separate studio (I requested close to each other). DD and DGS will stay in the 2nd bdrm and two DS's will use the separate studio. This way we free up the living area for just that.......not sleeping area...... and if our three kids want to go out for an evening or two, PaPa and Grandma can get DGS to bed in the 2nd bdrm and relax on the balcony with a glass of wine or two. So, I think it really depends on your own individual wants/needs as a group. I would just make sure everyone in your group is aware they will be sharing rooms/beds so there are no surprises when you get there and you have unhappy guests.
