Is 7 days enough?

Trying to decide if I should add another day to our June vacation? I'm currently booked for the 4/3 deal at CBR, but am debating adding one more night. CM quoted me at a bit more than 200 for another night at the resort. Can't decide if it is worth it or needed. Our first trip 3 years ago we stayed 5 nights and were wishing for more when we left. So this time 7 felt like it would be good when I booked, but we leave at 7 am on our last day, so that is really a bust. Plus, kids want to take a day out to go to a beach and see the ocean (we're from Iowa). What would you do? Stick with 7 or add another?

I agree or you can like us and go over to the beach when you check out of disney and spend one night there right on the beach for the same price or even cheaper. I found one for under 100 right on the beach.

I usually arrive at MCO around 11:00am and leave MCO around 5:30pm. I go down there 3-5 times a year and most of my trips are eight nights/nine days long. For my May trip, I did the buy 4/get 3 free deal and am really wishing I had added the extra day. I have done a few seven night/eight day trips and seem to always run out of time when I do. For us the eight nights/nine days work out exactly right. I'd add the extra day, if I could.

Any nights beyond the 7, you can book as a separate reservation and apply other discounts to. That way if there are any deals, you won't have to pay rack rate for the extra night(s).

We have our extra nights booked with the AAA discount (not much), but are trying to find availability of the spring code at our resort. Personally, we like to stay as long as possible so we feel that we can relax rather than trying to be in the parks all day to fit everything in. The tickets are about the same price once you get past a few days and we don't spend much on food (snack a lot in the room), so the hotel cost is really the only added expense for us for extra days.

When you add another night make sure the CM is not adding another day to your park tickets. Not sure how the CM's system works...but everytime I try it online...they have nights stay = park tickets.

For example...when I put in 8 night they automatically put in 8 days worth of tickets...I always have to go an tweek the Ticket days...since we usually drive we cannot use a ticket on our arrival day...or rather it would be a waste to. and the day after our last night we would leave in the morning. so wouldn't need any tickets that day either. 8 nights would = 6 days for us.

I hope that's not too confusing.

Seven days is great but eight is even better. We actually had 7 nights booked and I am adding another night too. :cool1:

Add the other night :) If you're like me, you never want to go home anyway, so another night would be great!

I would add the extra day if you can afford it. Or as a PP suggested, add the beach at the front or end of your stay and find lodging there. We went for 7 days in jan/feb and took one day to drive to Daytona Beach to meet up with DH's brother from Jacksonville. We're actually thinking about bumping up to 10 days next time! We'll never be able to go without taking time out to see DH's brother but that's ok because I love the beach too. Also, our kids are younger so that added lots of non-ride/show time (potty breaks, snacks, just the logistics of getting 2 pre-schoolers to MOVE) so we still didn't get to see everything WE wanted.

Oh, and I'm from Iowa too. *waves*

Add another night. Especially if you are supposed to leave at 7 a.m. That's really too early to even call it a 7 days stay.
