Airlines wouldn't book flights with connections which are often missed. People who are VERY RISK ADVERSE or who need extra time (mobility issues or need to have a meal) should book a longer connection. Call if you can't book online.
Sometimes an airline has a bunch of flights arriving from smaller airports, a number of flights from different airports, in the same window. Those flights may have their times padded to enhance on time performance. Those flights are designed to connect with flights. If an incoming flight is delayed, just landing or maybe in range, departing flights might be delayed.
Do you want the possibility of not making a connection and wasting a few extra hours in the airport or planning on wasting extra hours in the airport by booking a longer connection? I wouldn't do this if I was connecting with a flight that only runs once a day. Just make sure there are flight options later in the day.
