Is 304 Days Too Soon to Start Planning??? (with chapter links!!!)

You're in the teens!! Do you have any traditions for the day you leave? This year we made Mickey waffles for breakfast before we went to the airport!

And I can show you the world...

...and I got NOTHING!

My luggage is being tracked so I should have a new one out soon...hopefully before we need to pack.

No Mickey Mail or e-mails from the on-line travel agent that it is on the way.

The kids have a dentist appointment in the morning then Ty will want to go to the pool while Skye goes to dance for and hour and a half and then gymnastics for an hour and fourty five minutes. Then hopefully I'll come home to some good news!

You're so close! What age do kids have to be to go to the pool by themselves around you?

10...and sometimes I don't think that's a very good idea. Tyler is a good kid but some of them are not so well behaved and on any given afternoon you will definately find more unaccompanied kids that ones with parents there. I don't think you could pay me enough to be a lifeguard there!

I keep thinking I need to get started packing or at least closer to it but then it starts feeling like it's too far away for that....

At our pool anyone under 14 has to be with someone over the age of 14 (so I can take my sisters without my parents being there). I agree, there are always good kids, but there are also always bad kids that need to be watched over. A couple weeks before our trip my mom used her closet floor and her bedroom floor to start making piles of stuff to pack. We know when the piles start that the trip is getting close!

At our pool, you have to be 10 to go without an adult so Tyler cannot take Skyler...plus, I don't think he would be a very good "babysitter" at the pool...he wants to run and hang with all his friends and Skye is so short that she cannot hang out with the big kids without someone to hang onto...they both swim great but she cannot reach the bottom is most of the pool so it just does not work. She does get mad sometimes when he can go all day and sh ehas to wait for me... :lmao:

It is 17 days till 17 days!!!!

:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

And I just got an e-mail from my on-line travel agent that my second package Mickey Mail is being mailed from her in Colorado today!!!!!

I still don't have the correct Magical Express info for me and the kids but she said to give it till August 1 and if not received to let her know...I am betting I will be dropping her an e-mail on Monday. I hope not, but if I were a betting woman, I'd have to bet I will be!

Other than posting today's countdown picture, I don't think we're going to get a whole lot done becase it is a busy day today...I think maybe tomorrow we will start pulling out clothes. I think I can get Skye mostly packed (she is a clothes hound so has plenty to wear and put away for the next two and a half weeks). I can also make sure that we have everything else we will be needing, make a list of things we still need to pack, pack some of my stuff and some of Lou and Tyler's stuff (mainly the dressier stuff becasue we have nothing "dressy" to do before we leave).

Football practice starts Monday...5:15pm - 8pm ish Monday thru Friday. So that will take up most of our time. Skye is not cheering this year becasue it will interfer with dance and gymnastics and she loves those more. Plus, she can pretty much pick up cheer again whenever she wants to or it works into the schedule again...cannot say that so much for the others. So we will be running Ty to practice and sometimes staying to watch. But since she does not really need to be there, neither do we...except that I am not really comfortable leaving him there when Lou is not there becasue it is a contact sport and if anything happens, a parent should be there. So if at all possible, if Lou is working that night, we will probably be there. But I know Skye is going to want to go hang out by the cheerleaders where all her friends are...but she really shouldn't so that they can all concentrate on cheer not her. So we'll see how that all goes.

SO with all of that going on for the next two and a half weeks, time shoudl fly right by!!!!

and added after work around 6:30pm...

And tonight we're watching...

...Tyler's favorite...he is an elephant freak and his room is filled with almost every elephant that has ever crossed his path! So he'll probably be mad when he gets home from the pool but ya can't do it all!

I know Thing2 wouldn't want to just hang out with Thing3 the whole time. It's rough being the youngest sometimes! And yay for 17 days!!

Your theme nights look like fun, even when it's a last minute thing. I saw the Pirate edition of Life on sale the other day and thought about getting it. Do you think it's a good game?

It's so exciting to be in the teens! :cool1:

We like the Pirate Life game...I think regular Life is better but the kids like the Porate one better...and Pirates is much cooler looking. Either way, it's fun!

I know...we're getting so excited...!!!!!

We're at 16!!!!!

No theme for today...no Mickey Mail...no Magical Express mail...no Luggage delivery...just kind of a boring day.

Thinking about making dinner and then heading to Walmart to get school supplies...but feeling kinda lazy...so might just make dinner and go to bed with my Kindle Ap...

Got big plans for the weekend though...the start of the packing!!!

15 is one of my favorite pages.

So we should be having hot dogs for dinner...:rotfl2:...but we're not.

And when I got home a bathing suit I ordered that was back ordered to ship on the 3rd that just last week I was told was still backordered and woudl not be shipped until the 22nd...ya, too late for vacation...was here! And guess what else...

We got the package for part two and the corrected package for part one and seven more luggage tags. So we now have ten!

So we have all of our travel documents except our Magical Express package for our arrival on the 13th. So, I will be contacting my on-line travel agent on Monday when I get to work and hope that she can get us yellow tags before we leave...it would just make me feel so much better!

So off to eat dinner, spaghetti and meatballs, and then Lou has to go to work and then me and the kids are going to Walmart for school supplies and then grocery shopping.

!!!!!!:cool1:!!!!!!!!!!!!:dance3:!!!!!!

And I woke the kids up with this...

...Mickey eggs and toast...always fun to wake up and eat Mickey shaped food!

I was checking another fan website for weather predictions and it is up to the 15th. It is saying, at two weeks out for what it's worth, that the temps will decrease a little to around 80 degrees but that thunderstorms may increase. Now, we'll be prepared for rain so we won't let it bother us too much but on arrival day we are going to Blizzard Beach for the afternoon. If it storms, they will close down the pools/slides...so storms on arrival day would be bad...plus, I prefer it to not be raining when my luggage is being transported outside...don't need wet clothes!

So yesterday we went to get Tyler's school supplies. The principal told me the lists were at the local Walmart. So we go. Nope...not there. So with 13 more days to be able to purchase supplies for Tyler, I have absolutely no idea what all he needs. The only two things he told me were a 2gig flash drive and a specific calculator, which he got a few weeks ago. So unless I hear something before we leave, he is going into seventh grade with a binder with dividers, loose leaf paper, pens and pencils....probably a good guess at what will be needed but with our district, you just never know! We also were able to find boys sizes 18 pants for school. They wear navy pants and generally size 18 pants are hard to find...but Walmart had them and it saved me about $7 per pair over the mens sizes...which is what he usually gets for the lenght not waist...so I was pleased there. We also got to the grocery store and other than maybe running for something here or there, we should not need to make another grocery run before vacation!

We are spending the day at the pool and then coming home to celebrate 14 days with Stanley! Tyler used to love Stanley. I think it was off by the time Skye became interested but she said they used to watch Stanley in school last year...so apparently we're all familiar. So it should be fun...I'll post pictures when we get 'em!

Can't believe you'll be at Disney World 2 weeks from today!! In our district, we have to wait and find out our teachers (usually 5 days before school) and then go on their class website where they post what supplies we need for the year. Hopefully the list will come out soon! We love Stanley too! Have fun!!

I. KNOW.......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Usually the supply lists are online but apparently our server has had a lot of problems with the weather this year and a lot of it was down. Then they said it would be sent with the registration papers in the mail but they have not been sent out yet...better get here soon though because registration is while we are gone so I need to have it ready for a friend to take. Schedules are supposed to be given out then too (which stinks becasue thart is always the fun part and we're not goinna be here for Tyler to check in with all his friends...but we'll be in Disney so that's better!!!) but the tech team at school was playing with getting things all set up and apparently something happened and schedules went up that are not the actual schedules so all the kids are talking about their classes that they don't really have yet. Fun, fun, fun!

This was a post i had ready for last night but for some reason I could not post it so I am doing it now...

Ok...so we are on our second DVD of...

...which means we're on the 8th episode...not something for a bunch of people who are not 3ish. It was fun remembering how much Tyler loved it when he was little though. It's...the...great big book of everything...with everyting inside...

We had chicken leg quarters, mashed potatoes, and corn with chicken gravy that was really good. I don't usually do good gravey but this one was awesome...don't know how it fits into Stanley but I am practicing taking food porn so here you go...

And here is dessert...

And here is what we did all afternoon...

And I don't have much to say...

We're heading to the pool in about twenty minutes to work on our burn some more...it never fails Ty and I burn no matter what we do...we could bathe in sun block and we still burn...Skye, on the other hand, is a nice dark shade of brown...don't know where she got it from though.

Have a nice day everyone!
