With the max occupancy for all resorts 1BR being 5 is the only realistic option for a family of 6 to do 2BR or connected studios? Seems a family of six gets kind of screwed when it comes to this.

Just wondering what would the most cost efficient resorts be for a family of six without including SSR, OKW, the 2042 resorts or CFW?

Thanks

I believe it is only VGF Resort and the PVB longhouses that have connecting studios that would work.
Given your requirements I would say AKL Resort 2 Bedroom. It will also be cheaper than the 2 studios a lot of the times as well.

If staying at Kidani will also grant you a 3rd bathroom and of course the Washer & Dryer and full kitchen.

Week at XMAS 12/24/26 - 12/31/26
VGF Resort View Resort Studio = 234 x 2 = 468
PVB Resort View Deluxe Studio = 242 x 2 = 484
AKL Kidani Resort View 2 Bedroom = 395
AKL Kidani Savannah View 2 Bedroom = 502

Yea AKL would probably be the best way to go. The problem is the kids are little so tough to get around on the buses. In a few years it’d be ideal.

I’d say Copper Creek is a good option since the point chart matches Boulder Ridge. Bay Lake Tower standard isn’t too much higher but I don’t know how easy it is to get standard view. Also AKV.

We don’t have as many points as everyone else on these boards so we can’t do 2 bedrooms at newer resorts unless we cut days.

Without deep diving on the points charts, average cost/point, and dues, Copper Creek is the first place my mind goes.

how old are the kids? Just got back from a stay at Riviera. A studio with a tower studio has to be among the better options with 4 kids. Rooms would not be adjoining though.

Your requirements didn't state easy to get around :rotfl2:

I'm with the others then and will say CCV. The only problem I see with CCV is that any families with 5 are locked out of studios and 1 bedrooms and would be going after the 2 bedrooms that you would need.

BWV and BCV could work well for your requirements with their low point charts and excellent location too. But you will get much shorter contracts as the trade off

I was hoping to figure out a way without 2BR every time but seems pretty tough at this point. Any remote chance the 1BR at LL will be 6???

Someone can correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t think there are any 1 BR villas that accommodate 6 people. I suppose LSL could be the first, but sort of doubt it.
Correct none except for CFW can accommodate 6 people 3 years of age and up.

With the OP's situation they could get a 1 bedroom or even a 5 person studio (Yikes!) for 2 years with the infants.

Trust me- you want a 2 BR with a family of 6.

Family of 5 here with twins. All 3 kids under 6. We do a 2BR now and sometimes wish it was a grand villa.

Is there an exception for occupancy with babies?
