We are going to Orlando in June. Planning 2 days at SW and 5 at DW. We have never been to SW in Fl. Is 2 days plenty of time to do it all? TIA

We were there Friday & Saturday of Thanksgiving Weekend. Didn't get to the park until after Discovery Cove closed - so between 6 & 6:30 pm. Enjoyed most of the Christmas shows before the park closed (11 p)

We're not early risers, so didn't get to park until late morning on Saturday. Only ride we did was Kraken. Saw all the shows, including finishing with the skating show we didn't see the night before. Left by 8 p - having seen everything we wanted to explore and ALL the shows!

The girls hadn't been to Sea World before, but hubby and I had.

I would think you would be able to see/do all that you want.

Plenty!

You can do everything in one day if you are there at opening and really hustle. With two days you can really enjoy the park!

I would say 2 days would be great. To see everything in 1 day is extremely difficult as most of the shows are at certain times and some are at the same time. They have the time schedule as you enter the park. Take a moment to grab a schedule and circle which shows you want to go to and then in between the shows hit the rides. My children LOVED SW and actually wanted to stay there instead of going back to WDW. :headache:

If you like to see and do everything, you'll need more than one day. If you like to see and do everything at a leisurely pace, see every show, ride every ride, and really take your time to explore the animal attractions and meet with the education staff, you'll definitely need two days. We always plan on two days to see everything and a third day to repeat our favorites and really savor the park. I'm probably the exception like that, but I'd recommend two days for sure.

Two days will be great. That's enough time to see everything you want plus a few favorites again on the second day. We will be doing two days on our March spring break week, the first and last full days of our trip. On day 1 we will be there at rope drop and do the two coasters Manta and Kracken first thing, before the lines get too long -- next we'll pick three shows we want to see and plan our day around these, viewing animal venues near the shows. Our second day at the park will be more leisurely. We won't get there as early. We'll probably pick two shows to see (one we didn't before and a favorite again) and visit the things we didn't get a chance to do on the second day. We also love doing things like spending time at the Orca underwater viewing area, getting our pictures taken on the statues, and of course feeding animals at the sting ray pool, dolphin cove, and sea otter area. We don't like to rush and enjoy taking our time doing these things.

Oh and if you have little ones and/or younger elementary age kid, the Shamus Happy Harbour play area is not to be missed. I'd skip the midway rides you can do anywhere in favor on the shows and animal attraction, but the climbing structure is incredibly large and fun (older elementary age kids still enjoy doing it with younger siblings and cousins too.)

One full day is excellent for getting a good feel for the place, and is all the time most people typically spend here. We enjoy this park so much though, that we like you are planning to do put in at least a partial second day in.

Sea World is our favorite theme park in Orlando, but we do think they are all great.

Thanks for all the great info! We do have an 8 & 6 year old. We have been to SW San Antonio, but I wasn't sure if the one in Orlando was similar in size? I assumed it was since they seem to have the same amount of shows. The San Antonio one we only spend 1 day and it was during Spring Break, so we didn't get to see anything. I figure the one in Orlando is usually crowded because of the location, so I just wanted to make sure we were allowing enough time! We are so excited. I am really a Disney freak, but DH wanted to do more than just Disney this time, so I said fine, as long as I am going to Disney, LOL! But I am excited about SW too and I think the kids will love it!!

I meant we didn't get to see "everthing", not anything, LOL!

Interesting that you mentioned having been to SW San Antonio. I've never been there or to SW San Diego, but I've visited SW Orlando several times, and I've always been interested in the other parks. While they all have similar shows, viewing them online, it looks to me that SW San Antonio has a greater emphasis on rides and less on animal habitats. SW San Diego and Orlando appear to have more animal habitats other than the shows, so I think you'll find more to explore and investigate than at San Antonio where I imagine more time is spent riding and waiting for rides betwen seeing the shows.

At SW Orlando, don't miss Wild Arctic, a well themed pavilion with a simulator ride (motionless option available) and many arcctic animal habitats. Also, don't miss the little "hidden" aquariums at Journey to Atlantis and Manta. Something else you won't find at another SW park is a fantastic Manatee exhibit with a huge underwater viewing area.

If your going in June, then yes. Because June is the summer season and summer tends to be busier. If you want to take a slower pace to the day then have that 2nd day free to come back and see the stuff you missed and the stuff you want to see again.
