Irons on board?

Do I need to bring an iron? Do they have them onboard in the rooms?

Irons are not allowed to be used in the staterooms. They provide irons in the laundry rooms for everyone to use. If you use one of those bring a clean, white, thin cloth it protect yur clothes.

We took advice from the boards and looked into the ironing service - for $3.50 total, they ironed DH and DS shirts for formal night. Well worth it in my book. I simply filled out the sheet, layed them on the bed for the steward - and they showed up in our room the next day better than I could have ironed them myself.

I also used the pressing service - best money spent! However, we did need clothes for the first night dinner (pressing takes 24 hours) ...so I suggest you press after the ressie rush and before cocktail time - the laundry room was empty and very quick - OK not painless but still....

Just send everything out to be pressed. You don't waste precious cruise time ironing...and the cost is so minimal...we found it to be a great bargain.
