Iron on transfer paper - where to buy?

Hello everyone,

I'm just getting started in making my own t-shirts. Where do you guys buy your transfer paper? I live in Canada, so my online purchasing options are a bit more limited. The stationary stores here (like Staples) sell the 5-pack of Avery dark transfer paper for close to $20. I plan to use my Canon inkjet printer to print them.

Has anyone bought their paper on eBay? This seller has better prices than retail, but I don't know if there's any difference in quality between these transfers and name brands like Avery:

We ordered ours from that very person. I reaaly liked the quality of the transfers. I have washed them about 5-10 times and they seem to be holding up well.

When I very first ironed them on, it looked like the corners were lifting, so I didn't wash them until after we wore them in Disney, just in case. (You have to wash the shirts before ironing) But now, even after washing them, they are still not peeling off.

And yes, I was liking that they were cheaper than retail stores as well. And the larger quantity you buy, the cheaper rate per transfer.

I bought the Avery dark label ones (5 in a pack) at my Giant grocery store the other day (in the Staples section) for 12.99. I priced them at other stores and they were running about 2.00 higher. I'm not sure why Giant had them cheaper but woo-hoo.

I get mine at Hobby Lobby. I have seen them at Staples too.

I did the tshirts on our recent trip in Dec 06. We got the dark transfer paper from Ebay ( printonit was the company). The parchment paper that they gave me was very thin and made peeling so difficult where it was sticking. We then used baking parchment paper & it worked PERFECT!!!
