Iron On Transfer Help

Excuse any mistakes - I am new to all of this. Can anyone please help me. I tried ironing on these great t-shirts disigns I have found, but after washing in cold water, gentle cycle, and line drying - they are all cracking or peeling off. Colors have also run. I did light transfers on white shirts, dark transfers on dark t-shirts as indicated. I am so disappointed because I wanted to make a bunch more shirts. Also, does anyone know how to add borders around the ones with words, like "Disney"? Please help a newbie so that someday I can be sharing disigns I created. Thank you.

What transfers did you buy?
the quailty of the transfer matters alot if you want these to last..
Belive me I know..
I made some, 1 wear and by the end of the day they were cracked across the chest area...

Amy (Mickey) has the BEST dark transfers. I recommend that you PM her for the details!

Amy has the best transfers...you can't go wrong with them! After about20 washes I still have no cracking or peeling

Thank you all for the info about Amy's (Mickey) transfers; however, this system won't let me PM her because I'm new or something. I have used Avery brand and a brand Walmart and Michaels Crafts sells.

i second amy mickey's transfers~ i just ordered 2 packs of 20 last week and already need more way toooo many tees to do.

i bought from her last year after doing exactly what you did. i tried a few of her transfers and one year later the thomas transfer tees still looks GREAT!!

One thing we found out the hard way is that the transfers don't do well with liquid fabric softener. As always, YMMV.
