Has anyone else seen this HBO movie? It premiered on HBO sometime in February, but I didn't get the chance to see it till last night... Well, to all the women out there (and men too!), I highly recommend this film. In light of the coming elections, it made me realize and understand just how hard some people were willing to fight for the right to vote. Some parts made me want to scream, cry, throw my TV out the window, but it was still incredibly inspiring.

One line that encapsulated (for me) the time in which these women lived: (paraphrased) "Courage in women is often mistaken for insanity."

So if you have HBO, go see it!

Our women's group from church watched it one night at my house. It was good, and I learned some history from it. I liked how they edited the movie and how they used new music with it. It was a little long for me, though.

I watched it the first time they showed it and have watched parts of it a few more times.

Hillary Swank was great in that role. I also love Houston as an actor and she was terrific.

It REALLY made me appreciate the struggle of women and humbled me to the point I thought what would these women of the past say to me? I really examined myself.

Thumbs up!
