Does anyone know when the "new" Irish Pub is opening. It was supposed to be in May and was delayed. I have heard rumor that it is October 21st, but Disney could not confirm that. I was attempting to make priority seating but Disney said that did not have an opening date.

Any info?

I don't think it's a rumor. I've seen it on allearsnet.com and mouseplanet.com.

October 21 is the date, unless something has happened in the last day or two.

Making reservations last week I was told there was no opening date yet for the Irish Pub. Guess there is a delay....the Pub's website still says it will be in September. Guest Services says "fall of 2005"....that leaves a lot of wiggle room. Of course, it could be September "Irish Time".....

I can't remember his name but someone who has been hired as a bartender for Raglan's has posted over on the Theme Parks forum. Last post of his that I read a day or two ago stated that there is no firm date yet.

The Raglan Road pub will be at Pleasure Island in the building that was formerly The Jazz Company. You'll be able to go to the pub without paying the Pleasure Island club admission.

The Irish Pub opening on Oct 10??!! Oh, great! Our next trip is from Oct 2 to Oct 9!!! On top of that, we are flying down in the middle of the Red Sox/Yankee game. Last year, we got to see one of their games (rain delayed, to boot) at the ESPN Zone on the big screen over the entrance door....it was one of our best times at WDW....maybe there will a play-off this year??

There are occasional....emphasize the word "occasional"....times when the information is sketchy, unreliable, or flat out wrong.

We have heard all kinds of opening dates for this restaurant on these boards.

Hard to believe, but NOBODY knows!

It would be nice (and really smart PR and marketing) if somebody would announce the blasted opening date. If it is October 10, or 20, or 21, that's pretty close.

What's the big deal? What's so hard about TELLING US???!!

Meanwhile, on this particular topic, I'm going to be very skeptical about what I hear on these boards.

The hours that I've seen have it opening at 3:00. Too bad because I think we would be more likely to go there for a quiet lunch and enjoy the setting. That's what we do with our local Irish pub.

As I posted earlier, a poster on the theme parks forum has been hired as a bartender. A few days ago he was addressing the fact that there was no set date for opening. Yesterday he posted the new date that they're hoping to open. His name is Jack Sprat (Don). Check it out on that board. You may have to do a search. Anyway, he has posted info on the types of dishes, etc.. I haven't checked today though for any updates.

Hey all!! I am one of the staff members at Raglan Road. We are currently going through our training together. I won't divulge anything I shouldn't, because if I told you - I would have to kill you. However, I can tell you it will be opening up soon. (Maybe even within the next couple weeks) Thus far, there have been delays due to construction (Seeing that everything had to be imported directly from Ireland, I think they are progressing very well!) Once you see the outcome, you will appreciate the wait. You are all in for a treat! I promise! I am really excited about it myself!!
