I don't think they will care what would happen to them if they wipe Israel off the map. They'd be celebrating and so happy, their mission would be accomplished! If people retaliated against them, so what? They'd be much like a suicide bomber--dying for their cause. It is a state of mind we can't comprehend.

Is there anything I, personally, can do about Iran and it's nuclear weapons? Can I go over there and take them away? Can I prevent Iran from using them? The answer to all that is no. There's absolutely nothing I can do about this situation.

Ding!!! Ding!!! Ding!!!! We have a winner. It's a state of mind we can't comprehend because we have not ever lived it. They want us dead. They hate what our entire existence, and that of the rest of the free world, stands for. They don't care what happens to them...if they die for the cause, they are going to their heaven, as fara s they ar concerned. The truly radical do not repsond to diplomacy, economic sanctions or anything else. Does anyone truly think that people who are willing to strap a bomb to themselves or to a child or to a mentally-disabled person, send them into a marketplace and blwo them up is going to care if the food supply to their country is cut off and people starve in the streets?

In my work as a nurse, I have a lot of contact with middle eastern Muslim males. Many of our interns are of that descent. Even the nicest, most well-educated, most professional of them still espouse some beliefs and exhibit behaviors that make me cringe.

It would be nice if the world was all but it's not.

What'll happen if Iran develops nuclear weapons? I think nothing will happen. They will never be launched. Iran has nothing to gain and EVERYTHING to lose. Let 'em have nukes. No big deal.

We only care about who the next American Idol will be in this country, and when we will be getting all of the presents from Obama. After a national emergency happens, you can say I told you so and start blaming someone else for your own blindness to the problem. Let's all just have a great big hug...... I think I should restate my position: I believe Iran poses no threat to the US. I believe disarming Iran is not worth one single solitary drop of US blood.

I find it kinda amazing that we as a nation get up in arms about other countries doing the very same thing we do. I agree it makes me uncomfortable that Iran has done this but when the USA decides to lead the world and step down all our nuclear weapons, I will feel we can ask other nations to do the same.

We don't fly planes into buildings...Strap bombs on people and send them to crowded areas...Behead people...ect. ect. We step down nuclear weapons, we're all in trouble. We have them for a reason, Defense. Thay is not why they would have them....Some people me.

I never said that.

I know this thread might seem surreal, given all the propaganda, but I am serious. What can Iran do to us? More importantly, if you are against diplomacy, that means you are for war, right? How many American lives is disarming Iran worth?

What I did was buy a hybrid vehicle. And I take public transportation whenever I can. When the world gets off the oil addiction, the oil-rich war mongerers like Iran & Venezuela will start to shut up. We saw this when gas was $4/gallon, Iran & Venezuela were shouting thier mouths off and Russia had the gaul to go into Georgia. When the price went down, their mouths quieted down.

The less money we spend on gas & oil, the less financial and political power these oil rich dictatorships have.

Absolutely wrong. Iran has shed alot of US blood. Remeber the bombing of the US marine barracks in Beirut, where over 200 marines were killed? Thank Hizbullah - financed and trained by Iran. Hamas has killed an number of US citizens in Israel, including a close friend of mine from high school. Hamas if also financed and trained by Iran.

Iran has already shed US blood. Don't think they're done.
