My kids had Ipod Nano's. Then my son bought an Ipod Video. It got broke and the Apple Store in the mall wants to charge him $125 to fix it. Someone on the boards suggested he try to fix it, but he's all thumbs and it would not end well, lol:rotfl:
So he wants a new one and thought it would make a great Christmas gift. Unfortunately, they seem to all be $200+ for the bigger ones. He doesn't want a Nano.
He wants an Ipod because he has the docking station and uses ITunes, etc. to download songs.
Are there any Ipods out there that are inbetween a Nano and an Itouch? :surfweb:

Unfortunately no.

Your choices are shuffle, nano, touch, classic.

Suggested retail on even the least expensive models of both the touch and the classic start in the $230 - $250 range. You'll have to find a pretty good sale to get a new one much under $200.

I've bought refurbished iPods before and never had a problem with them. I'm not sure how much that will save you though, or if you even want to go that route. Just a thought.

Good Luck, I hope you come up with a solution.

Sell the broken one on ebay to defray the cost of the new one. It's surprising how much you can get for a fully-disclosed broken ipod.

I wonder if you called apple, not the store in the mall but the company directly. My uncle has said they are pretty helpful with things, $125? I think I paid less than that for my refurbed iPod Nano that I <3
