iPod Videos

On Tuesday, my grandmother is taking me shopping. She said I can get anything I want. (And her version of anything is like over 200$, but my version of anything, is like a cd or something) Anyways, I've been looking into the iPod Videos. I already have a nano, but a video would really come in handy, especially because I will be flying a lot now that I'm moving. I just got my nano in December, so I feel bad asking for another iPod, but I'd give my nano to my sister. We also just bought a WII and a 55" Plasma Flat screen tv.. And we're upgrading computers within the next month .(Me and my sister are both getting new flat screens, But I'm going to see if I can get a laptop instead) And I'm also getting a new piano (ours died) and a new bike. I"m not a greedy person, and I feel bad for asking for a Video, but I really do want one... My grandmother offered.. I still feel guilty though..

So anyways, those of you who have the Video's, do you like them? I also heard the Zune's were nice, but I'd like to stick with apple. (I know itunes inside and out already)

I have a black video, it was a good choice.
if you are prepared to pay 9.99 for each movie, then its handy for the plane/car journeys.

I want a white video, and itune gift cards is no problem. I've got plenty, and I get a few each month.

What about the battery? Does it last through a full 2-3 hour movie? Or what... How long does it last? (playing songs and movies)

i would get it...i have a black video iPod and the battery lasts up to 7 hours. and i've learned that if u turn the light off it saves the battery. i bought a car charger and that really helps b/c we drive to WDW and it is like a 18 hour drive so i don't have to worry about my iPod dying while in the car...my iPod(along with my pal mickey) has been the best thing i've bought

Wow, 7 hours is a lot. We are going to start flying to Disney, and its probably only a couple hour flight. So that works!

i would still get a car charger b/c i use it just in the car overall like when i have to go to the dotor i charge it just so it always has a full battery...

The videos are ok. They kinda make me feel gross after watching it for a while (especially in the car.) The picture is great, but for me its not worth buying the same movie you already own, just to have on your ipod.

The battery will last through the whole movie, but will need to be charged afterwards, so be sure to bring your outlet charger or laptop.

But I have this huge grudge against Itunes & Ipods, so I'm not really helpful to ask.

I have a black video iPod, and I absolutely love it! I actually have the PotC:AWE trailer on it lol. I have a movie, a few music videos and stuff on it, and it surprisingly doesn't take up much space, considering I have close to 1000 songs on it as well. Anyway, a video iPod is totally worth it. And you're smart to stick with Apple. From what I've seen of Zunes, they really aren't that good. The Zen isn't either.

Oh! And video iPods don't come with their own wall adapters. I don't know if Nanos come with them, but if they do, you should be okay. In case your battery runs out, I would have the computer you always upload with you if possible so you can charge it.

Apple is a reliable brand name. I feel more secure with my money when I spend it at apple.

I got my ipod video for Christmas. Best gift I've gotten. I use it all the time, and my battery can last through a couple movies.

Actually, I haven't charged my ipod in a couple of days and the battery is still pretty good.

And please, get a case. I'm pratically crying now, because my ipod is all beaten up :[[

The only problem that I have with my ipod is that it freezes. Not all do, but mine does once in a while. Hasn't happened in a long time though. But I easily got it to unfreeze. It never froze during a movie though.

iPod Video is so worth it. I like it because those little nanos... I'm afraid that I'll snap it in half or something! They are so small! And the new Ipod shuffles are cool, but yu can't chose your song, and you can shuffle on the iPod video.

It should fit the nano. My Video iPod fits my old iPod mini's adapter.
