IPOD touch help.

hi there.
I am not close to an APPLE store or I would head straight there !..

I have a recently bought TOUCH .. but the icon for youtube , everytime I click on it .. says cannot connect to it .. also when I go to youtube site thru SAFARI icon.. i can get to the site but also no youtube videos can play ??
what is wrong? I have googled this problem.. answer as to reset / make sure time and date is correct ... I have checked this but now what ?? I am totally lost and not a techie at all .. so I am no help...

Hmmm, ususally if that happens to me it's because it's not connected to the internet. But if you can open safari I guess you are connected to the internet. Sorry, I'm not of much help. I would just call the Apple tech people.

you have been connected to the internet to get to youtube or use safari.

Have you tried deleting it and just redownloading it? I had trouble with one of my apps it that's what I did.. fixed it.. its worth a try

Is the "Youtube" thingy set to "on" under the settings? When you go under settings, and then under "general", is the Youtube icon set to "on"?
