Ipod question

What's the difference in buying the previous generation Ipod vs. the current? The features seem to be exactly the same.

Depending on the version, previous ipods only did mp3, then mp3 and photos, then mp3, photos and video. The most recent ones have up to a 80G drive, longer battery life and brighter display. They pretty much just add more storage space, make the battery last longer and make the screen brighter. The rumor is the next ipod will be like the iphone, wide screen with a touch pad.
