Hi,

I got an iPod nano for Christmas and had one question about it, that I did not see in the little booklet that it came with. My question is, How do you erase songs & pictures that you decide that you do not want on there any more? Sorry if this has been asked a ton of times already, this is my first MP3 player so I am still learning all about it.

Thanks in advance!:thumbsup2

My DD has one, I will ask her in the am.

In itunes, right click the song, then click delete. It'll ask you if you want to delete it and stuff, just say yes and send it to the recycle bin. The next time you hook the ipod up to the itunes, it'll remove it from the ipod by magic. (Tech people say "synch," I say magic.)

I know there is a way to delete it from the ipod itself, but don't remember how. Someone else will know. :)

I don't use pictures, so can't help there.

I'll add that when you connect the ipod the next time, you have to click the option on the menu to sync your ipod. I don't think it will do it until you tell it to.

I have one and agree with cool-beans, you delete it on the I-Tunes program. You go under Playlists, xxxx's Ipod Selection and delete it there. Next time you plug in the Ipod to the computer, it will synch up the Ipod to match your changes on I-Tunes (depending on how you set it up). If it doesn't automatically synch, there is a link under file at the top.

If you remove it from a playlist, then it will still be on your main iTunes Library. If you remove it from your library, you are permanently removing it from iTunes AND your iPod

If you don't want to completely get rid of the song, just delete it from a playlist and use manual update and selcet the playlists that you want on your ipod.

I got one for my DW, and I liked it so much I got one for myself!

I got the ihome dual alarm clock from Apple for DD and its awesome! Now she has a good way to charge it and listen to it in her room too and wake up to her songs! Some of the speakers out there are junk, this one is great!

Thanks everyone for all the help and info.! I will give it a try the next time I plug my iPod into my computer!

Also how do you do the picture ones and how do you do it right on your iPod?

Thanks in advance!
