Youngest DD is keen to have a mini iPod for Christmas (or cash towards one anyway). I was in Boots today and they had just one left, so I bought it (not so much a panic buy as an impulse purchase!
).
Now I've got it, I see it has PC requirements listed as Windows 2000 or XP, and we've got 98 at home (the laptop has XP, but that 'lives' with eldest DD at uni during term time).
DD says she wants to use it 99% for storing her CDs and those borrowed from friends, not really to download tracks from the internet.
My question for you experts out there is will DD be able to transfer CDs to the mini iPod without having Windows 2000/XP, or are we up the creek?
We'll be okay at Christmas, when the laptop will be at home for a few weeks, so she won't be stuck on Christmas morning without being able to use it. So it's not a complete fiasco, but obviously it's not ideal if the PC won't do the business.! I'm completely in the dark about all of this, but I know there's someone out there who'll have all the answers (simple language, please!
