IPod Help

Hi

My ipod is having serious issues. The other day it automatically did a restore and erased everything. Now when I try to plug in I get the error message

itunes has detected an Ipod in recovery mode. You must restore this Ipod before it can be used with Itunes.

I have tried several times to do a restore but it doesn't seem to work. I have also unistalled and reinstalled Itunes.

Does anyone know how to fix this. Your help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Same exact thing happened here.

I had other computer software that when I installed it, a virtual drive was created that took the drive letter my ipod wanted to use. If you've installed something recently, I'd look into seeing if it made a virtual drive and if you can change the letter.

On the same lines, have you installed anything else recently like another hard drive, and external hard drive, or USB thumbdrive? They all get a drive letter also.
