We're looking for something clever to have engraved on our daughter's iPod that we're giving her for her birthday.

We're thinking lyrics, maybe the Beatles. Something good for an older teen (will be 17yo). We're really drawing a blank...

Any ideas?

How about "Life is a highway"

I would also like to know if she has a favorite artist/song/genre, it would make this a bit easier.

Her 14yo brother gave me the names of some bands/singers... Jet, Jason Mraz, Blink 182, Maroon 5, Evan and Jaron.

I guess pop or light rock type music?

She also liked some of the oldies radio stations, but maybe she puts up with it knowing that I can tolerate it. :teeth:

She's not into hard rock, heavy metal, or rap type music.

Or could be something "classic" or Beatles lyrics, etc.

Or anything with a music kind of theme.

I think that I will run anything by her, but figure if I give her some suggestions she can tell me what is "her".

Teenagers!!!

If it were for me it would be so easy!

Thanks, T&B

ok..you KNOW I have to make my Dave Matthews suggestions

"Life is short but sweet for certian"

"Turns out not where but who you're with
That really matters"

"All you need is love
Everyday"

Eat, drink and be merry

Or maybe three key words...

Could be Imagine (or dream)...Persevere (or some similar meaning word--maybe one that doesn't have a dismal sound to it LOL)...and Sing or Reach or ???

Hum, maybe threee words of wisdom for a young lady getting ready to go to college soon. One that has a dream-like meaning, one hard work, and one a more playful meaning.

Geez, I need to drink my first cup of coffee. ;)

Stepharoonie! posted what I was going to post! I just ordered my daughter a ring through a Beatles catalog. It is silver and has the word "Imagine" on it.:)

Of course, I'm a huge Beatles fan, so anything by them would be good!

Tomorrow Never Knows

All You Need Is Love

Let It Be

I Am The Walrus (okay, maybe not!):)

We gave our DD an iPod for Christmas last year and along with her name had the date added so that there would never be any question about the date if there would be a warranty issue. I like your idea about song lyrics though. BTW, your DD will love her iPod! I want one too after seeing what our daughter can do with hers, not to mention it would mean no more lugging a CD player and CD's on plane trips.

I just bought a silver mini ipod for my DD for Christmas. I had it engraved with her name and phone number. I decided to be practicle in case she lost it! Many people on www.ipodlounge.com put, reward if found and phone number, on their ipods. Some of them put silly things like "iown" and their name.
