Here's an IPod question I hope someone can answer.
My Dad is thinking about getting DD#1 an MP3 player at Radio Shack--they have one for $100 today. NOT an Ipod. (No one in my family is getting a $200 present this year)
I have a mini so Itunes is our default software for downloading, etc. on the computer.
If we get another brand, I am assuming itunes is not compatible. Would DD#1 have to reconfigure all of her music or something to add it to another brand MP3 player? Does anyone out there have 2 brands in the house, and how does it work out?

I am wondering the same thing. Are Itunes strictly for Ipods? Just bought 2 1gb Sandisk mp3 players this morning at Circuit City -

Bump...doesn't anyone have 2 different brands of MP3 player that can give me some guidance?
BTW the $100 ones at Radio Shack...My dad called and was told they are all being recalled!

If your iTunes songs are MP3 format they will work on another brand MP3 player. iTunes gives you the format option.

You can also download format conversion software and convert MP4 or AAC files to MP3 formatl

I have a flash drive player and I just drag and drop my MP3s from iTunes onto the drive.
