Ipod 12-08-06

Nope.

I thought I was up all by myself this morning. You had me worried.

How many days are we going to keep trying to get these? I think if I don't get one by the time I get off at 7am Monday morning I think I am going to give up.

I was afraid everyone went somewhere else, too! I don't know how long I will try...at this point I can't quit! Help!

It does seem like there are few each day and even fewer days the closer it gets to Christmas.

Well I guess no Ipods for us. On the plus side I did not have to get up to check. I haven't been to bed yet. Got to stay up so I can sleep today. Got to love working third shift. I have been up all night making chocolate candy for the Sheriff Deputies I work with.

I guess I will see you all in the morning at 4am sharp. That is going to be our lucky day. Take care and sleep well.

I ordered a black nano yesterday at about 1:00 p.m. I think it's just luck, and since I have'nt had any luck with the wii yet, the ipod will have to do. Keep checking. :thumbsup2

Yeah, I broke down and spend the extra $60 for the ipod I wanted yesterday - this getting up at 4am was starting to wear on me since I wasn't able to really get back to sleep afterwards....too much adrenaline pumping through my veins I guess.

Also, thanks to the DIS Boards I got a $24.99 speaker/docking station unit from Amazon.com....it's regular price was $149.00!!

Hi guys, I've been watching you in your ipod struggles the last week or so. I got lucky a few weeks ago and got a couple of them for my kids. I wanted to let you know two things... first... it took three weeks from the time I submitted my order until the day I received it. Since today is the 8th that could mean that ipods ordered today might not make it before Christmas.

Second, Have any of you thought about getting a different type of MP3 player? I did get two of these ipods for my girls, but my son has a creative zen that I got him back in July and it isn't terribly expensive even though it was regular stock and not refurbished. The creative zen nano is 512 much like the ipod shuffle we've been stalking and it is incredibly sturdy. It differs from the shuffle in that you can find songs and play them, instead of the way the shuffle just randomly plays songs. I see that as a positive actually :-) They use AAA batteries so they don't have to dock with your computer to charge. They come with the strap and USB cable and everything you need. The interphase with the computer is actually easier to use than itunes. I've seen them recently for about $45-$50, and these are really great quality. Creative is the company that manufactured the majority of computer sound cards for years.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking the ipod, but these are a really good alternative if you guys aren't going to be able to get your hands on the shuffle in time for Christmas. By the time I bought the shuffles and a couple of travel chargers and cases... I had spent about $50 a piece anyway.

Good luck everyone.
