iPhone Update for Podcasts

My inner geek is calling.

Rumors are floating that the iPhone 2.2 update will allow podcast updates directly to the iPhone, bypassing the need to connect the iPhone to iTunes.


It would be so nice not to have to download the DIS Unplugged Podcast through Safari. Everytime I get a call, I have to restart the download.

Then again, perhaps I am the only listener to get aggravated whenever I can't immediately download the Podcast.

You can use the free application "FSTREAM" to listen to live music (including Radio Disney) over the cell phone network. Pretty cool.

being able to update podcasts remotely would be welcome addition!

I wouldn't streAm in a 'cast because of the issue you mentioned OP. I just wait and update and sync every other morning to pick up new casts.

It's a little silly to be able to down load apps on the fly but not audio files anyway! But I can see a 10 meg limit on 'cast downloads, unless you are in wifi, like they do with apps.
