Hi everyone, I'll be heading to the world real soon and decided I wanted to travel real light while in the parks. I love taking pictures of the "world" and of my son while we are on vacation. I have the iPhone 5s and it seems to take VERY clear and sharp pictures, much better than the 4s.

for this trip I plan om making a photobook when we get back.

What are your thoughts about the pro's and con's of just taking the iPhone.

thanks for your help:thumbsup2

I think you can get a lot of great shots with you iPhone, but if you want night time shots or shots in dark rides (without a flash) I think you need a real camera (DSLR) and you need to know how to use it.

I use both on my trips and the iPhone is great for bright daytime pics.

Enjoy your trip. Traveling light definitely has its advantages!

I want a DSLR camera but I don't want anything bulky, I was thinking of getting a camera before I left. But I don't know which to purchase.

Check out the Sony Rx-100. There are 3 versions and all offer about the same image quality. It's the best point and shoot available. Not quote DSLR quality but as close as you will get! I have 2 dslrs and 5 point and shoot cameras and the rx100 is the one I carry in my purse everywhere. Totally worth it!

Depending on how large you want to make the photos, you may experience some distortion if you 'blow up' the picture.

Since I have been to Disney so many times and have thousands of pictures and I had the photopass, I took just my I phone last trip it was great. The only down side was the battery. Now they have charging stations/lockers for this.

This trip, I am only bringing my Iphone 4s :thumbsup2
