IPhone only for photos at WDW?

I have an iPhone 5. What camera do you recommend that can take decent shots day, night, action? My boys are 6 & 8. This is a big trip for us, but I also need something affordable. Thanks!

I don't have anything crazy fancy (don't have an SLR). I have a Canon G12 and G15, they're point-and-shoot but you can change settings and add lenses, so you get some control. My G15 did great at Disney with two very active toddlers.

To answer that question, first need to ask, in what ways is the iphone insufficient?

I'm worried about taking photos at night during parades and fireworks. Also, my action shots don't turn out.

Well, virtually every camera will have more zoom than an iPhone. Good fireworks shots require a camera with manual controls and a tripod.
Night time landscapes require a tripod.
Action shots require a fast focusing camera with the ability to gather enough light (larger sensor) that will allow faster shutter speeds.
Night time action, such as the parade, will benefit from a larger sensor and faster lenses.

If you want to get all that in a compact, I'd look at the Sony rx100. You can also look at some entry level mirrorless cameras from Panasonic, Olympus or Sony NEX.
