Iphone lost or stolen today at Hollywood Studios

Great stolen iPhone recovery story from a few years back:

Summary: Guy's iPhone was stolen at Wilderness Lodge. Used Find My iPhone to track the culprit to a ferry headed to MK. Disney Security tracked the guy down and apprehended him at the bag checkpoint. Long read but a great story.

Thanks for sharing! That was a good read.

I've always wondered if I'm just wasting money when we rent lockers at the water parks - who would mess with my little old bag anyway, right? - but this confirms that it's definitely worth paying a little bit to keep your valuables locked up!

I lost my cell phone after riding tower of terror as well. We called the central lost and found. After a day or two they had found it.

A friend and I found an iPhone late one evening just sitting on a bench in the area in front of the hat at the Studio. We stayed there for a few minutes to see if anyone who seemed to be looking for it came back, then we took it up to Guest Relations.
The CM there said they get lots of lost phones turned in each day.

A few days later, we were at the same area (different bench) and were waiting for a bench that a family was vacating. After the man got up, we noticed a phone sitting on the bench and asked if it was his.
He said it was - it had been in his pocket and he said this was not the first time it has slid out of his pocket as he sat down.

Back in 2012 my daughter found a gift card on the ground. SHe was going to throw it away but decided to have the balance checked before she did. Its a good thing also because it had almost $2800 on it. She turned it in to the CM. Turns out it belonged to a tour group and it had been dropped. Her good Karma paid off as later that same trip she left her 3ds at DTD We thought it was gone forever but it was turned in to Guest relations. That thing never left her hand the rest of the trip :thumbsup2

UPDATE--Sorry I could not update sooner, our family was hit by a stomach virus:(, but that is another story... Anyway, we spent so much time checking with Guest Relations we made friends with a cute little CM. She would just sadly shake her head no at us when we popped our heads in every hour or so all day. About 8pm she smiled and held up the phone! She said it was found Tower of Terror and had been locked in their safe all day! Thank Goodness!!!!! Thanks for the good vibes!

Great news! (Though I am not a bit surprised.). :goodvibes

Awesome news! Well, all but the part about the stomach bug.

Glad you found it!

Awesome news! I was hoping that was the outcome! Hope you guys feel better soon also.

So good to know that there's still good folks out there! Glad you got it back.

Glad you got it back! My DGS age3 lost my sons iphone at DD this past friday we tried looking for it to no avail he used my phone to lock it and try to track it finally he went to guest services after a half hour of searching and they had it someone had turned it in.And my DDIL left her phone in the muppets and had to wait in the que to get back in,better her than me :lmao: I was the only one who didn't lose or misplace my phone all week:)

I lost a phone at WDW a few years ago and thought it was gone forever. About a week after getting back home, I opened my mailbox to find a package from Disney. In that package was the cell phone. I don't know how they found my address from it but it was pretty awesome. My only thought is they found the number and cross referenced it in their reservation system.

Since it's an iPhone, I would try Find My iPhone and keep calling Disney. Not really much else you can do.

Last summer my DD lost her phone on the Transformers ride at Universal. It did show up at the ride podium eventually. We had checked with the ride operators right after she discovered it, checked at Guest services, etc, but eventually it was found in the ride car and turned in. I believe most people are honest and helpful!
