iPhone GPS system for Florida - half price

For any of you with an iPhone that is looking for a GPS application, Navigon currently have a 50% off sale until June 11th. I've being using their UK app for a couple of months now and have been pretty impressed by it - it's at least as good as TomTom in my opinion.

Anyway, the company produce a full-blown US version, as well as specific applications for the West coast, Central, and East coast regions. I know when we previously bought maps for a standalone TomTom unit they were at least £25 so this seems like a really good deal, especially if you already have one of the windscreen phone holders. By the way, if you buy the East coast app you can add the other US regions for £5.99 each.

Hope this doesn't all sound like too much of an advert for the program - I don't have any link to the company at all, just really impressed with the app.

Newp, no cost - it works in the same way as a normal Tom Tom etc.

3G and 3GS phones come with gps built in. It uses that to pinpoint your position and no data roaming or anything like that takes place.

The app you download contains all the maps and information so no data traffic there either.

Unfortunately I don't think so - the iPhone has a GPS chip built into it that the iPod touch doesn't have. Sorry...
