Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend 2026

My fellow DL race participants, I have a question about POT that I hope you all can answer.
On the runDisney website, it says "if you claim you will finish a half IN 2 hours and 30 minutes or less" you should submit a POT.

Here's my issue. My time for a half I completed this year is 2:30:45.
It's the 45 seconds that's throwing me off. At first I wasn't going to submit the time, because I understand if you submit the wrong time, you're bumped to the last corral. But that was when I thought POT had to be LESS THAN 2.5 hours.
Does the 45 seconds still kick me out? Or since it's 2:30 should I go ahead and submit it? I really don't want to end up in the last corral because of my own error (especially since my goal for the half I did was to get sub 2:30 for an earlier placement) but I also don't want to miss out on having a POT and not using it.

Those 45 seconds are still making me crazy, two months later. That blasted final hill at the OKC Half! :rotfl:

I always thought of it being 2:30:00 or less personally. Maybe email them and see if they respond by the deadline? Worst case scenario is that you do get the penalty, there's also a chance that they either let you in the POT corral or just put you in the first non-POT corral since it's close enough and not exactly clear on the website. Would guess that the last option is most likely but I feel like I've heard a wide range of reports on people submitting POTs where it's not exactly clear where you belong (particularly when it comes to submitting half POTs for the full, where they're not clear at all about the half-to-full translation).

Not sure if anyone here has experience of being right on the edge like this (2:00 or 2:15) one way or another.

I would email track shack and ask. Obviously there is a cutoff and only they might be aware of what the official cutoff is.

Thanks for the advice! I went ahead and emailed them to see if they could clear it up. I hate being on the line like this. Thank goodness my 10-Miler time is well within the range and I won't have to go through this again for SS.
Wait, would the 10 miler time work for the half? I think if you were under 1:54:00 you'd be good to go.

I was thinking about what another DISer posted on the 2026 SS thread. The dropdown menu given for POT for that race said under a 1:55 10-Miler. My time is 1:54:05. Which would be fine if it follows those rules but not if it goes off the data you just shared.

Moral of the story is: I need to get faster or slow down. This being on the line is just confusing.

Does anyone recall what the bib pick up hours were for the 2025 weekend? Trying to figure out flight logistics and make it to check in on time on the Thursday of the event.

They closed at 8 PM on Thursday and Friday this year. Thursday 10-8, Friday noon-8, and Saturday 10-4.

Thanks! I think we are planning on taking the first flight out on Thursday morning, so it gets us into OC around 11am. Just worried if there are any flight delays. for Disney World MW, I usually like to come in the day before the expo starts, but I am not able to get away from work on that Wednesday.

We have one night at VDH using our DVC and then 2 waitlists for the rest of the trip. I am really hoping that waitlists come through and I check daily to see if something opens, even if it is just another day on our trip. As backup, I booked the DLH, but I am rethinking that and considering a Good Neighbor hotel. I saw some posts about Lulu and that is high on my list, but also considering that Anaheim Inn given its location. Any suggestions? We have been to DL before, first was a day trip, 2nd we stayed at a Hilton with views of Cars Land (pre-DVC ownership), and most recently we stayed at the VGC.

Thanks for your help!

This past January we stayed at Desert Palms and enjoyed it just fine. Bit more of a walk than others, but it had daily breakfast and a microwave in the room, which were important to us. I liked that it had interior halls and was fairly quiet. Just don't get a room near the pool. It's open fairly late, which wasn't ideal for the early bedtime we needed for race weekend.

For 2026, we're currently booked at the Clementine and Best Western Anaheim Inn. We haven't yet decided which we'll keep, but it will be one of the two.

I will say that we stayed at the Clementine for the races in January 2024 and really liked it. You couldn't be closer to the start and having a full kitchen was awesome. There is a Cheesecake Factory just down the street and we were able to turn our take-out dinner into multiple meals/snacks throughout the trip. We also really enjoyed their breakfast. There was plenty of hot food and, even as back of the packers, were able to make it back to the hotel in time to indulge on Sunday.

Thanks @Rarity and @sandam1 ! We ended up booking Anaheim Inn for about $1400 less than the DLH. We like the proximity and the fact that there are microwaves and fridges in each room plus the breakfast. We will still probably book a larger breakfast for after the 1/2 marathon because that is how we like to celebrate, but having a nibble after the race while we get ready will be nice.

Still hoping our DVC waitlist comes through for the VDH. We have 1 night there then move to the Anaheim Inn.
