iPhone 4S now...or wait for iPhone 5?

Tech people, I need some opinions...

I have an Android and am eligible for an upgrade in a few days. I'm making the switch to iPhone.

I don't *dislike* my Droid, so sticking with it for the next several months until the iPhone 5 is out is not gonna kill me. But, let's face it - I want a new toy to play with.

I know it's all speculation at this point but what do people think are going to be the huge differences between 4S and 5? Trying to figure out if it's worth waiting or not...

I think iphone 5 will be very different from the 4s. I would wait. You might be sorry if you dont.

By the time I get a smart phone or IPAD they will all be in the 5th or 6th G.

That being said the I-5 is "rumored" to be released in Aug.

Personally I would wait but that is just me.

third option, wait for the iPhone 5 to drop & buy a 4S then. If history repeats itself, the price for the 4S should be a lot less than it is now.

I would wait. I have the 3GS currently, and I've been waiting for the 5 to drop.
However, I'm not really a tech person (but I'm married to one) so YMMV.

Wait, definitely. Rumours are flying around everywhere. For example, good sources have indicated that the iPhone 5 will have a larger screen and will be thinner than the 4s.

Im turned off from apple/iphones....thats the reason i switched to android. OMG i love it! Best decision ever!

Apple see's that android screens are much bigger (and better) than theirs, so they decided to jump on the wagon.

Don't forget iPhone 5 is rumored to have 4G. If u get the 4s, u will be stuck on 3.5G for 2 yrs. I would wait for 4G...

I'm waiting for the 5 but I'm not sold until I see it. I don't want a larger screen. It is my PHONE. I want it in my pocket. My cousin has a droid that is HUGE. If I want to carry something that big around I have an iPad and a Kindle Fire to tote in my purse.

The predictions/fake photos I have seen show it to be a bit longer, but about the same width. I am hoping that is the case, as I found my DroidX to be too big, and I too, have an Ipad, if I want something bigger.

Yep. Verizon has the 8 Gigabyte 4S available for $99 on an upgrade. I'm wondering if it will be worth losing unlimited data (not a huge user though). Heck if you wait for the iPhone 5 rollout, Android phones will come down in price again. Mine Droid 2 (R2D2 version) was released at $250 and by the time the iPhone 3 (or 4?) rolled out it was down to $100.

We have the 4S now. I really like it. I'm sure I'll want the 5 but I'll probably wait a while before I get a new phone.

I had the 2 and then I got the four because I changed phone companies. There isn't much difference, IMO.

I have the 4. The 4S wasn't enough new features to justify upgrade. Will have to see what the 5 has. But having Siri would be cool....only if you are going to use it. I do use the speak commands feature on my iPhone 4, but it can't do everything Siri on 4S can do.

I had the Siri app on my iPhone 4, but they pulled it when they came out with iPhone 4S with Siri. Was NOT happy about that. Wasn't going to pay all that $ to get back what I already had.

There wont be any added new features on the iphone that already arent on andriod devices. Just get another andriod.
