What is a good protective case for the ipad 2?

I have a nice soft folder like cover that I got at five below...For $5. there were quite a few options for just $5. I wouldn;t spend any more then that really. They also sell the bulletproof plastic stickie shields you stick to the face of the ipad, for $5. These are great to keep the screen scratch free and streak free too

I have a Switcheasy Canvas case for mine that protects everything (including plugs for the ports).

I also recommend them for outstanding customer service. I had a very small issue with mine (cosmetic) and sent an e-mail with the details of my order and asking what type of warranty they had. Within 2 hours I had a tracking number for a brand new one they sent out to me! I wasn't planning on replacing the one I had but now if I ever do, I have a new one sitting at home in the box!

Now I will say this...While it does exactly what I want it to do, it does add a bit of bulk to the Ipad 2. I'm currently debating whether or not I want to just get a Smart cover and a thin skin for the back. I kind of loose out on the whole "thin" tablet feel.

I got my son an otterbox case for the Ipad 2 he's getting on Christmas. We have otterboxes for the 4 of our iphones and love them. The otterbox for the Ipad2 was $90 at AT&T and has a one year warranty. I got a screen protector for $40 there too. They had a deal where you could buy 2 accesories and get one free so I got a car charger.

I took advice on here and got a roocase from Amazon. It came yesterday and i really like it so far. It is heavy/bulky but I am glad it will be protected well.
