Ipad2 16GB or 32GB?

I have never owned an ipad and I have finally saved up enough $ from surverys and consigning to get one. (see, budget related!) However, I can't decide on the 16GB or the 32GB. My DH seems to think 16GB will be fine and it probably would be. But I have enough for the 32GB and wonder if I should just splurge for the double memory?

I will download movies onto it for when we travel, but I understand I can put them on and off as needed. I am going with WIFI b/c I won't need the 3G and if I do my phone will work as a hot spot.

So, if you have the 16GB is it plenty roomy or do you feel like it is filling quickly? I plan to put educational apps on for my boys, use it as a traveling laptop, read on it when I don't have my kindle (Or my DH is reading on it), fun apps and games for me, photos, and download movies for travel. I may put music on it but more than likely will leave that on my ipod for the Gym and the car.

I opted for the 32. I just thought it would be better since you can't add memory later if you want it.

My ipod touch is an 8gb and it was filled up until I made the kids delete some apps and it didn't even have any movies on it.

I have never regretted big hard drives on anything I have owned (and that covers multiple laptops and about 10 versions of iPods/iPhones over the years). And I always filled them up eventually.

I am saving my $$ for the $800 version of the iPad - I think that's 32GB with WiFi and 3G.

I'm considering an iPad myself and would go bigger. No matter how huge a hard drive seems to me when I get it, it's always filled eventually!

I got the 32GB- 3g and am very happy with it! I have tons of pics on it along with tons of apps and books! I love mine!

I just got my husband the iPad2 for his birthday. It was a surprise so I had to guess what he would like. Yup, I went bigger. The 32GB holds a lot more movies and, as others have said, you can't add more memory later.

Guess I'm the odd man out here. I got the iPad 16g 3G and am very happy. We have tons of apps and music on it and have no problems. Don't think you can really go wrong either way.

I have the 32GB. I have several movies, a bunch of apps and books on it and I have not hit the 16GB mark yet. For me, the 16GB probably would have been enough. HOWEVER, I'm glad I have the 32. If you can swing it, I'd go with the bigger one. As others have said, you can't change your mind later, so more is better than less.

The way Apple upgrades their products, I decided to go with the 16GB and just save extra for upgrading in a few years.

My iPhone has 8gb and I'm not even halfway close to filling that sucker.

That said, I debated for a LONG time before finally ordering. In face, I'm axiously awaiting the fed ex man today, lol!!!

The original Ipad I got the 16... when the Ipad 2 came out.. I went with the 32! So Happy I did!!

I want to congratulate you on saving money for you Ipad! I think that is great how you did it. That's like extra money. I am curious about the surveys though. I have gotten invitations to do surveys before, but they always "pay with points".
