I'm sure some will agree to disagree but people toting there Ipad around and trying to take several pictures with it instead of a Digital or Camera phone look pretty stupid!!! especially if your using it as a video cam while walking!!

I agree! Last night at fantasmic the lady sitting in front of me was using her ipad to record and take pictures. It was so distracting i moved over ( the people sitting next to us when we first took our seats moved later on and we didn't move over). The way she was holding it actually blocked my view.

I thought i was just being grumpy bc i was tired but i am glad i am not the only one to feel this way.

I agree. iPads are lovely for facetime and other personal picture uses but to tote one around a theme park or any tourist destination as a camera just looks ridiculous. Besides, I'd be afraid to drop it, get it wet, etc.

I have seen that at a number of places...WDW, school functions, etc. Sure does look strange.

I agree, very annoying. We we're in Russia in a theatre watching Swan Lake & a lady was using one even in there,it was so bright. However after about 5 mins she was asked by the usher to put it away, she had the gaul to moan and tut at the poor guy.

I totally agree.

Why would you want to carry around that huge thing? Are they trying to show off or something?? The pictures on that thing suck anyways!!

I love my iPad and use it constantly but not for taking photos. I took it with us to WDW but never into the parks. Even if I had brought it, I would never use it has a substitute for a camera or video camera. It just doesn't have good enough resolution for that anyway.

I agree! The picture quality is so bad, I would rather just use my phone! Not to mention having to carry an iPad around and making sure it is secure.

I think it's great if ya wanna sit by MK and perhaps facetime with loved ones that were unable to go, but walking around holding it in front of you looks crazzzzzzy!!!!!lol

Agreed. At my dance recital's dress rehearsal a woman was using one to video tape. It was awesome watching the recital through it. :rolleyes2

FI works for Apple and is a major fan boy and even he doesn't understand it. It doesn't even have a good camera!

Yeah that is true now that they have wifi! That would be pretty fun to do with someone that wasn't there!

Ya! I did this with my boyfriend and best friend who were unable to come. I facetimed them on my iPhone though during fireworks and parades. It was so awesome.

I did see people taking pictures with their iPad while they walked. It was a bit weird

My favorite is the people using it for the video!! At Wishes Friday night the man behind me was using it to record the show and blinding everyone around with the recording light. The girl next to me finally said something and he stopped. It was really annoying to have a blinding light right at eye level while you're trying to watch a fireworks show. It's a computer for goodness sakes not a camera!!!

I haven't seen it in the parks yet, but I sure have seen it at school functions. And not only does it look odd, I found it amazingly rude. People hold those things up over their heads for a better shot, completely blocking the view of someone behind them.

Their choice. I only object when they obstruct the view of the show in question for the people behind them.

Personally though, I prefer to watch rather than record.

I wonder if people who primarily take pictures with their iPads don't have a regular camera. Not everyone takes a lot pictures in their day to day lives. I wouldn't want to use the iPad for all my pictures, but I do sometimes use my iPhone (though I like my digital camera's pictures better) in the park. With it set to photo stream, my parents got pictures of the kids having fun every day.

I so totally agree. We were at the Food & Wine Festival last year, sitting on a bench enjoying some time and this woman across the walkway got out her IPod to take a picture of her family. My husband and I wondered why anyone would carrying around something that large for photo taking when a phone would work or *heavens* a real camera that probably had more features for better photos. We've since seen people with them in the parks. I thought technology was supposed to get smaller but it seems it be getting bigger. Even the new Iphone has a bigger screen.

i agree :thumbsup2

each to their own as long as not a nuisance to anyone else :goodvibes
