is this offered on the wonder? i was considering doing this and was looking for any feedback.. thanks.

It is offered on the Wonder. I have not done it but most reports I have read about it said it was not that great of a treatment, unfortunately. Hopefully someone who has done it can tell you more.

My friend did it on our cruise and although I think she liked it- it was expensive and they try to sell you expensive cream when you are done.

I think that this is the treatment that I did on the Magic in May. I did something Ionithermie. They have you choose which area of the body you want detoxed then measure that area making a pencil line on you where the measurement spot was. They then slather a cream on you. BTW, I chose the lower body and I had to strip down to nothing but my bra and their paper panties. After the cream they sit you down on a table in a wet clay mixture. Feels very icky! Then they attach electrodes to the area to detox. When the machine is turned on, you receive minor elecrical shocks every few seconds. This was a very strange feeling but it didn't hurt at all. When your time is up they measure you at the pencil lines again and voila! you are inches smaller. (Not!!!!) I really felt that it was a waste of money and time. They do try to sell you the products which you can use at home to get rid of cellulite but the girl that did mine was not a pushy seller.

In order to make myself irresistable to single female cruisers on the August 17th Magic cruise, I tried the Ionithermie Super-Detox. Actually, I was enticed by the thought of easy weight loss! It is a truly unsatisfying experience. Save the $108 + tip for something else. You can achieve the same lack of results by purchasing one of those "Fast Abs" pulsating belts with the "special cellulite-eliminating creme."

On the other hand, I also treated myself to the Elemis Absolute Face & Body Treatment. It is well worth the $144 + tip. The therapist I saw is Jeanette from South Africa. She is wonderful. Her massage techniques are superior to most therapists I have encountered (I frequent a local center weekly for medical reasons). Jeanette has mastered a number of massage disciplines and although young, she displays a maturity of touch quite advanced (in my opinion) for her age. Also, the facials and pressure-point facial/scalp massages provided by Jeanette are relaxing yet invigorating. All in all, I hope she is still onboard the Magic when we cruise next year. I'll book her for at least two sessions and try to convince the dear massage therapist to continue her profession in the New York area when she leaves the Disney magic!

Two very relaxed thumbs up!

In Jan 2002, I also tried the detox. I certainly would not waste the money again. Do a message and then go to the rainforest!
