Ionithermie Algae Detox Question

I was going to sign up for the Ionithermie on my cruise and was asked if I was allergic to Iodine or Sulfur b/c of the seaweed they use. I am allergic to both! (Actually Sulfa drugs) I was advised NOT to do the wrap. However, I have no trouble swimming in the ocean, or with seaweed itself. I was wondering if anyone has had this spa treatment who has allergies to Iodine or Sulfur and what happened.

I'm not allergic, but I would advise against not for the allergy reasons but because a) it wasn't a particulaty pleasant expereince b) any results were minimal and/or very temporary c) the stuff does reek of strong odor so it was much different than swimming in the ocean iodine exposure wise c) there are so many other more relaxing and wonderful treatments to choose from. Just an opinion but I would NEVER do it again.
