IoA-Woman Robbed in Bathroom

i dunno. the whole story is just fishy. NO ONE was in the bathroom the entire time?

i have a 3 inch scar on my thigh from a box cutter. i soaked my pants and left foot prints in the matter of a few minutes. i too have a hard time believing no one would notice her bleeding.

Our local Orlando tv news did a story on this and mentioned she'd waited over an hour afterwards to report it to anyone.

That makes no sense...

I mean, I have cut my finger pretty badly with a box cutter and it was more then enough blood. I can't even think about how much blood and pain multiple cuts that required 27 stitches would be. And she just didn't report it for an hour?

Also, how would most security have helped? The security would not have been in the bathroom with them. And if she really took an hour to report it, then it was most likely too late (especially since she didn't have a description).

These things are not adding up!

Another weird thing... the victim said that the thief is a woman but yet she also says she neither heard nor saw the thief. I would imagine that someone could have kept watch outside of the washroom while someone else did the actual crime.

thanks to the above article, I did a cursory search of the victim's name + orlando, there are several woman in the age range...

one has a criminal record (no, i didn't pay the fee to find out what it is lol)

one is a realtor

there's an inactive home-business owner

and yet another has worked at Disney World:p

please locals DIS'rs keep us in the loop how this story plays out.

There is a video with her in it .... http://www.wftv.com/news/news/local/woman-says-purse-thief-slashed-her-knife-universal/nSgLR/

From the video from Eclpz314 gave, the restroom it occurred at is right outside of the park beside guest services....unless the news crew was just showing a video of any old washroom in the park.

never noticed it before, good call.

interesting that finger being pointed @ HHN and security being diverted there.

shall we start a poll when the inevitable lawsuit will be filed?

I hadn't seen that video before. I know the US entrance was old video because it advertised Mardi Gras. I'm not even sure why they focused on that entrance since they said it happened at the restroom outside of IOA.
We were just over to City Walk recently and didn't see notice any change in the way the bag check is done there (from parking lot), the check coming back on the walkway from a resort to CW, or the check before getting on one of the boats from the resort. You'd think security would be more vigilant now.
