Is the weather too cool to enjoy these rides in late Oct??????

Will ponchos really make a difference in defraying the soak factor??

Which rides are you the most prone to get wet on?

What is a good theme park strategy for balancing the water/nonwater rides in 4-6 hrs. assuming arrival right at opening midweek late Oct.

Okay...

First of all the two big water rides, Popeye and Bluto's Bilge Rat Barges and Dudley Do Right's Ripsaw Falls WILL get you wet. Ponchos usually just assure that the water stays IN instead of out! Jurassic Park is a sprinkler, sometimes soaker, but you will get some kind of dampening.

October in Orlando is strange. It RAINS alot that time of year and can be cool especially if you're wet. Your chances of drying off from these rides are very low so I'd advise a change of clothing or save them for the very last before you leave.

We were there Jan 11 - 15 and went on Dudley Doright & Jurassic Park River Adv (Popeye was closed) and used ponchos. It was colder those days and the ponchos helped a great deal. Mostly my face and glasses were soaked. Clothing was fairly dry. Just a few spots. I definately would recommend the ponchos. We forgot ours at home and bought some at the park for $6 each.

We went on Popeye last March and You WILL get SOAKED!!! I'd wear a poncho, then take my shoes and socks (and anything else you want kept dry) off and store them in the compartment in the middle of the raft. It's covered with a heavy plastic and has snaps. It kept our shoes and socks dry. Our clothes were sopping wet. Nothing worse than walking around with squishy shoes.

Thank you both -

Robinrs, not sure what you mean by this????

Also, is there a recommended place to store dry clothes and change?

There are all-day lockers available for rent at the front of the park.
