My family and i will be in Orlando Dec. 2 -7 and would love to visit both parks (IOA and USF) but we only have one day designated for it. Is it possible to do both parks in one day? Are we going at a slow period? Weekend or weekday better?

ONe more question: How much is the 2parks 1 day ticket?

Any info will be appreciated?!
Thanks you all!

If you hit the major attractions and skip the shows, both parks in one day can be done. Just make sure you arrive at the first park 30 minutes before opening so if they open the gates a bit early, you'll get a head start. And despite what most people here will say, it can be done without purchasing an Express Pass Plus or staying onsite with its Unlimited Express perk. I would say you would have a better chance going on a weekday, definitely.

As of right now, 2-park/1-day tickets are $69.95

Schools will be in session at that time also. During the week would be alot better than the weekend.

You won't be able to do every ride at each park, but you could pick which ones you really want to hit and focus on those. Just remember that most of the rides (and even some of the shows) leave you either sprinkled or soaking wet.

I disagree. If they tour smart, most if not all of the rides could be accomplished. Especially if they are going on a weekday while school is still in session.

I agree with Slacking as the parks are empty in early December.

I agree that it can be done. My 18 yr. old son had a friend join us last July for a quick trip. He arrived Sat. night around 11pm, talked half the night, got up, ate, and toured both parks w/us on Sun., and had a flight back at 10 something Mon. morn. He had never been there before (never flown either) but we managed to give him a good tour, including the necessary food stops that teenagers need. He even took time to buy souveniers for his family! The only drawback for you might be park hours being shorter? We were able to keep going up until 10pm......and even saw most of City Walk before heading back to RPR!

How are the parks in late September? I am in the same boat with one day for IOA/Universal and will be going on a Friday...

late Sept you should be able to do it. All schools in Florida will be back in session by early August. If you go during the week you will be fine.

So is it safe to say the Express Pass Plus will not be necessary? I would hate to spend $35 extra to get to the front of the lines for each ride if it is not necessary...

You won't need to purchase the express pass plus because the time you are going is a slow time. You shouldn't have any crowds at all then.

I do it all the time.
If you arrive early and start in IOA, you can take a lap in 3 hours. Then you head over to USF and do the major rides over there. Since they opened a 2nd theater for Shrek, the lines for that attraction are better. For the Mummy and MIB, use single rider line. You won't get to every attraction, and you'll be tired by the afternoon, but it can be done.

Early december is a great time to go! The lines are low, so you could probably do both parks. Just get there early, see the most popular rides first or with express pass. The parks aren't too too big, so you should be able to see most stuff with a comfortable pace. Have a fun time, I'm so jealous I'll be in school that week this year :(

How about the 2 for 5 Deal, I think it's around $90 per adult, if it's in your budget you could buy those do a full day, then a 1/2 day on another day, maybe more, atleast you'd have the option.
