Is IOA open right at 9 lately or do they open a little before? We are going in october and last year it was open around 8:30 and we had time to grab a bite to eat at Croissant Moon before they opened the rest of the park.

Thanks for any info!

The parks generally open a few minutes before opening. So you might be able to get in a little before 9.

I've gotten into Universal Studios about 15 minutes early once, and have gotten into IOA between 15 to 30 minutes early before and got on the Hulk at least once before the park even "opened." :)

I will keep that in mind for my next trip too!!!!

Sounds like a hit or miss situation. Well, I will try to show up for around 8:45 and see if we can get in. Thanks!

I'm not an early riser, but the last time I got to the gates of USF bright and early (in July) they opened up at about 8:40.

It's probably a matter of how big the crowds are combined with whether the park is ready to take on visitors at a given time.

Hours are here.

You know, don't goto USF first. They open at 10am.
This is the problem with the USF. They're not consistent with hours, so people don't know what's going on these days.
Fans don't check the web site like me. They don't look, otherwise, This thread would not be here. Meanwhile, SWF opens at 9am everyday. I like that. Got 4 rides on Kraken and 1 on JTA before 10am. Crowd was light, BUT quickly built up at 11am. Yet the impression was left in my mind, that SWF CARES about fans.

Ok, if you're going to IOA in October, get there at 08:30am, and you'll probably get in at 08:45am.

Ummm...I do check the website, that's how I know it's open at 9am. The reason I started this post was because I haven't been to IOA since January 2001 and I wanted to know if they were still letting people in BEFORE 9 am. The last time we were there, we ate at Croissant Moon at 8:30 am and then rode Spidey before 9 am. Just wanted to check to see if I was still able to do that this trip.
