I'm sure that at some point during the day, they will let non-AP holders ride. I just rode it last week & can assure you that it is awesome. Have fun.

The Aug 1-3 invitation is for AP holders only but........................friends just got back on 6/30 and they got to ride already. Some afternoons they're doing "test runs" and if you're in the area when they open it (only for an hour or two) then you can ride. They said it was amazing.

It's too early to predict what will happen during that time. They have had soft openings on weekdays three out of the last four weeks after 4 pm or so, but by the time the previews take place they will probably have finished fine-tuning the ride. Thus, there may be anything from the ride being completely closed to a soft opening for everyone during regular park operating hours. Keep checking these boards, WDWMagic.com and/or my FAQ for information as it becomes available.

The one thing that's for sure is that you won't be able to ride it on the 3rd without an AP.
