Inventory Control

I faxed in my request for a Cat 3 room for July 2006 to inventory control . What happens next? I realize those dates have not been made available yet but I do not know how to go about booking a room once that date opens up. Has anyone ever done this before??

I posted this under the Cat 1 & 2 thread, but it applies here as well.

This winter I faxed request to inventory control for a fall 2005 cruise. A couple months later when I noticed dates and rates had been posted (but I still had not heard from inventory control), I followed-up with DCL myself. I ended up getting the cat 2 I wanted, but I on't know if that would have happened if I didn't call myself. IMHO, I'd keep checking to make sure you get the room you want.
