What’s for Dinner Tonight?

We're lucky and go to DLR the 8th.

The weather here was changing all the time, cold, nice, hot and back to cold. 39 this morning.
I wish it was 39 here! That like a heat wave. It’s not gonna get above 5 every night this week and not above 20 during the day. I feel like I’m in the arctic. I know I live in New England but it’s not usually this cold.
I am done!! If it wasn’t for my dad’s health we’d be moving to Florida.

DH picked up takeout on the way back from a job site. Never being one who passes on something different, I ordered a Confetti Cobb salad (Diced turkey, blue cheese crumbles, bacon, trail mix of sunflower seeds, raisins & walnuts). Sounds like an odd combo, but I'm willing to give it a try. DH ordered lasagna & garlic rolls.

Chicken alfredo with homemade alfredo sauce (I'm allergic to corn starch/meal, so I can't eat the bottle variety). And garlic bread.

homemade alfredo is SO much better than anything you can get in a jar :lovestruc

agree. We've been trying to cut back on our processed. I know jar is cheaper, but I tend to agree with you on homemade is better.

Glad many are enjoying the yumminess of homemade Alfredo sauce. Easy peasy to make along with its other advantages.

it’s not going to be above freezing for a week. I’m done! 😂
Hearing you mightily. No freezer space to speak of so can’t cook anything until I eat down more of my stores. TV getting boring, unread book inventory low, and and I even need a Bowie rest 😱.
Truly want to get out of the house, lol.

Ate a portion of lamb biryani and a side of kale salad. The kale salad was made specifically to last for several days which seemed like a good idea when I read the article suggesting it. The reality is boring is becoming the new norm and I’ll never do that again. Of course nothing ventured, nothing learned.

Yesterday (Monday) I had leftovers of the pork loin that I made on Sunday at work. It was good.

Today I made chicken, broccoli and Rice casserole.

We got about 8 or so inches of snow from this big storm that came through this weekend. It's been real cold and will stay that way for the foreseeable future. I think it was 7 or 8 when I got out of work this morning (Tuesday). I think it got to 13. It is supposed to be single digit lows to mid teen highs every day until Monday where it will be a heat wave of 25 for a high.

No idea.
Hopefully we'll be home.
I already got a flight delay notice of an hour 45 minutes. The plane is sitting at MCO, so must be something else...... I just hope it's no longer than that.
We both have appointments tomorrow.

Keeping it simple tonight - chef's salad. Have some Boar's Head ham and turkey cold cuts left over from lunches that I don't want to let go bad, so chopped up with some lettuce, onion, tomato, cheddar cheese, and croutons and some Ken's Thousand Island dressing.

Tomorrow, I'll be doing up some homemade chicken-fried steak which is a messy meal that uses lots of pans and bowls, but worth it - I'll start tenderizing and marinading the cube steak tonight so I can flour it and fry it tomorrow with mashed potatoes and white country gravy.
