I luv the early ressies at the castle because we can get around the rope and take a look at the MK with empty streets.

It does look lovely and uncrowded

I have a favorite too.

I always have to shots of people while they're eating. It's funny to Buzz.

I like the picture of the Healthy Breakfast. That would be the one I'd eat. Did they serve beer? Oh wait, of course not... It's MK. (I hate that rule).

Never been in MK before opening. Too bad it's not like that on the days I visit.

We went in January once for the Marathon. It was not crowded at all... but got cold and ugly!!

We have been fortunate the last coulple of years to have really good weather. We were even about to get in the water a few times.

It got really cold in October one time and the pool felt really warm! Only cold when you got out but the sun was out and eventually you warmed up. Besides, we had the entire pool to ourselves!

That is another good thing about going in the "off season". Unfortunately is will get pretty cold at times. I have a few pool pics in my next update and it is not crowded at all.

Let’s Go Swimming!!!​

Here it is, day six part deux. We decide after a morning with the Princesses and a few rides at MK to head back to the resort and give the kids a chance to swim. After all it was 80 degrees today.

The only plans we had were ressies at Big River Brew Works at 8:00 tonight and I wanted to see wishes. Our trip was almost over and I did not get to see that show yet.

Since it was early we decided to walk over to BC and check out that pool. We wanted to see the famous “sand bottom” pool. We grabbed a bite to eat and let the kids play in the sand. They decided against the slide here. It was too scary looking for DD and LM did not want to go by himself. Once they saw us eating they got hungry, so we fed them and went back to BW. Of course they wanted to swim in “our” pool. The food had enough time to settle and BG & I thought we might hold down the bar stools (they were about to get out of control) while the kids were in the pool. After a few rounds the kids talked us into getting in the pool with them.


Here are some pics at the pool. BTW, LB & JON did not want to swim so they went spend some time at DHS while we played. CL did not want to get in the pool either. It would take toooooooo much time to get her hair done again.

Poor LM stopped at the end of the slide & BG had to go get him while SG thought it was sooo funny.

I tried to take a couple of the fireworks but I don’t have a gorillapod so they were not very good. Next time I will have one tho.

Yes we did go to dinner. I have a few more pics but the update wuz getting too long so I am going to do a mini-update in a little bit, mostly pics.

Not at all. It wuz fun. The girl at the top of the slide said "lean back if you want to go faster". That is how I ended up in the predicament I was in.

Oh man that slide looks awesome. I get to change my DVC ressies from my Home resort to one of the others tomorrow. We were talking about the BCV but were worried about the pool since two hotels share it (busy??).

It looks awesome. I didn't know about the Sand Bottom.

I've never eaten at Big River Brew Works. Is it a Disney restaurant? ...or one that's on Disney property but operated by someone else (like ESPN Club)? I want lots of info on this place.

Lets Go Swimming.........Part Deux point One.

The update wuz getting kinda long so I thought I might split it up, again.

I have a few more pics of MK but none of dinner (will explain in a minute). We have the ressies at Big River Grille & Breworks for 8 so we leave out of MK to head back to the BW (BRG&Bw is on the BW).

Hidden Mickey (I think) Don't ask me where because I could not tell ya where it was. Maybe if I get CL onboard she could remember, that is her shoe.

Hidden Tink. I am sure most of you have seen this one but I thought I would post it anyway.

Here are a few more pics and not DM, or ED it wuz not taken the same day as the fireworks (since you have such an eagle eye for these things). They were taken on a different day.

On our way back to BW for dinner. Not sure what CL wuz sayin, but I am sure I wuz in trouble fer something.

OK, we get back to BW and get to BRG&BW just in time and are seated shortly. I ordered the Rocket Red Ribs - full slab of pork ribs, dry-rubbed and slow-cooked, basted with Rocket Red Barbecue sauce, served with garlic mashed potatoes and vegetable of the day $20.99 . I could not tell you what everyone else had but the only thing I remember was somebody ordered steak. I could not even tell you what the app wuz. I wish i could say it cuz I drank too many of the homemade brew. Nope, I can't. It seems DD was getting sleepy, so much so that she FELL ASLEEP on the table before the APP got to the table.

When the waiter came back to the table I asked him if I could just get mine in a "To-Go Box". He said he could not do that because of too many people on the DP doing it at the end of their stay to use the credits or something like that. I said to him yea I am just going to STEAL the extra credit while my DD is right there in front of you sleeping! I have to bring her upstairs or she can just drool all over your table. The others are going to stay here at the table while her & I go upstairs. Again, he said I am sorry I can't do that. I told him to take my order off and remove me from the table then and you wont have your "six or more" to add the "manditory tip" to the bill.

I then got up, picked up DD and went up to our room. This is why I don't have any pics of the food here.

CL did bring the food I ordered up to me as soon as it came out and before she ate her's and she went rite back down to eat. She luvs me. It seems the waiter decided to bring mine out in a "To-Go" box after all.


BTW, Buzz, the ribs were really awsome. The meat just fell off the bones. This is one we will do again. We were able to make the ressies that day too. It was not crowded at all.

That sux about not packing up your ribs for you. I just HATE bad service. I mean, I really get worked up when I hear crap like that. All they had to do was ask the manager and I'm sure something would have been done. If not, the manager needed to be fired.

Side Note: My kids love Gooofy's Barnstormer. I see it in the first pic.

I guess when I hinted around about the manditory tip thing, he changed his mind. CL said he was really nice after that. I too, get worked up about that stuff. I wish I could tell you his name but I was soo PO'd about it I forgot to get it.

Barnstormer was good. That is how we ended up getting DD onto BTMRR.
