Hi! You guys were at the bottom of my Sub page! :sad1:
Wanted to give you a BUMP! :goodvibes

Thanks Ed. I have been busy this week. I have to come to work to rest. :worship: I just made it offshore this afternoon. I was begining to wonder if we were going to make it due to the fog. Anyway, here I am and I will get back to posting and catching up. I will try to get another upday on Thursday. Now I have to catch up on the other TRs too. :surfweb:

Where did he go. Please don't let that Buzz character get me. :scared1:

Last Full Day in Our Happy Place.
:sad1:

Ok, so today is our last FULL day in our happy place. We don’t have any plans at all including ADRs. It is up to the kids to decide what we are doing today and we will try to get ressies at FFC and spend our evening on the boardwalk watching the shows there while everyone is out watching fireworks. :cheer2:

The kids want to go back to MK and DD says that she will try to ride BTMRR this time. Now we have tried to get her on this ride on at least 3 different occasions to my dismay she has changed her mind while in line or standing (blocking) the entrance to the ride. LB and JON don’t want to go back to MK so they hit the other parks and we decide to meet later. They, after all, are still newly-weds (13 months) so we don’t have a problem with it. We still needed to mail a few post cards and pick up a couple more gifts, so MK was ok with us. Besides, I wanted to try LTT and this might be my chance.:thumbsup2

Off to MK we go in search of the BTMRR before DD has time to rethink her statements of the morning. We get back to BTMRR and the posted time is 40 min and the return time for fastpass was around 4:00 so we get in line and DD is nervous but ok. Half way through the line the fast passers kept pouring in like like I wuz pushing the water out the clowns mouth at the BW pool. The wait time turned out to be 55 mins as opposed to the posted 40 mins.

BTMRR.jpg

Of course, once we get off the ride DD says she LOVED it and “can we do it again??? Now the posted time is 60 mins. No baby, let’s go on something else, I don’t want to spend all day in this line. So we cross the street and hit TSI.

Where do they teach these girls how to drive these boats. She attempted to leave the dock prior to removing the rope. After slinging a few of the passengers into each other and a couple of “watch where you put your hand’s", she discovers the bow line still attached to the dock.:sad2:

042.jpg

That wasn’t rough enough she drove the “raft” like she thought the breaks worked just like on her car, or maybe she thought that is what the bumpers on the raft and the dock or for. We were thankful to see that see was not at the controls when it was time for us to head back across the river and dodge the big boat. :scared1:

We are getting hungry so we stroll on down to the LTT and check on the wait time. About 30-45 mins, so we give them our names and get one of the dreaded BUZZer thingys. :rolleyes1 The kids are about to “starve to death” So I grab some popcorn while waiting. This should help for the time being. :thumbsup2

We are seated in about 25 minutes. CL & BG got the crab cakes for app, I got the fried cheese and SG got the chowder. CL & BG said the crab cakes were the best they had all week. (they tried them 3 or 4 times) CL ordered the pasta, I got the Angus Chuck Cheeseburger, and I don’t know what BG & SG had and of course the kids got the mac and cheese and a hotdog from the kiddy menu. We all got ice tea in the LTT mugs. The food here was pretty good. I will definitely eat here again. When our waitress came back I asked her if we could keep our mugs. She said for $5.00 we could, then walked off. Sure enough they sell them at the front for $5.00 each. We now have a couple of LTT mugs we use all the time at home (for tea and beer).

After we are stuffed we take a cruise on the steamboat before heading back towards the front for souvenirs and snacks to take back to the room.

After shucking out more $$$ for gifts and attempting to use up some of our snack credits we see this adorable little Jasmin and I politely ask her mom if I can take her picture. I believe she just came from the BBB.

We won't see this again this year. :sad1:

Sounds like a good day to me. Sometimes, no ADR's is a blessing. Other times, it spells certain doom. :scared:

MB did the same thing to us at MGM on RRC. He finally rode it.

We used to pack a computer printer with us and make our own postcards and mail them. Now I just email everyone. :confused3

I hate when that happens. I only like the Fast Pass people when I'm one of them. Otherwise, I hate 'em.

I call LG Baby also.

Maybe the raft guy was sick so the popcorn vendor volunteered to drive. :confused3

Guess the sick raft driver musta recovered eh? :rotfl2:

Nothing worse than a hungry, tired child. Mine will turn on you like cornered badger. :scared:

I love those kiddy hotdogs! :thumbsup2

We've never done the steam boat. It's like Space Moutain, right? popcorn::

That sounds like a great plan. I'm sure we'll have a few days like that in October. I have to ask though, what is FFC?

I'm hoping DD6 will finally ride this one in October. Maybe Buzz's DD will get her to go on it!

We won't see this again this year. :sad1:

To Be Continued.........Come on over and join us.

But you'll see it October, right???

The last full day is always kinda a bummer. Just knowing you're leaving the next day ... It's good that you didn't have any real plan of sorts but it all worked out nicely. :goodvibes I really liked LTT for lunch!! Tri-Corner Sandwich, YUMMY!

That sounds like a great plan. I'm sure we'll have a few days like that in October. I have to ask though, what is FFC?

It was nice and relaxing with not pressure to be anywhere at a certain time.
FFC=Flying Fish Cafe. It is on the Boardwalk next to Spoodles. It is a 2TS credit meal tho.

I'm hoping DD6 will finally ride this one in October. Maybe Buzz's DD will get her to go on it!

I hope to be there with DD8 too, then they could all ride together. :cool1:

But you'll see it October, right???

I am feverishly working on it. :laundy:

Sounds like a good day to me. Sometimes, no ADR's is a blessing. Other times, it spells certain doom. :scared:
We were lucky not to have any problems with this. It helps going in Jan too. The only bad thing about this day is that a cheerleading tournament or something was going on starting the next day so the MK was getting crowded quickly.

MB did the same thing to us at MGM on RRC. He finally rode it.
DD would not even think about RRC this time. She didn't even want to do TOT this year and loved it last year. :confused3 Maybe if we make it in Oct we can get her to go with MB or LG and the rest of us. :thumbsup2

I hate when that happens. I only like the Fast Pass people when I'm one of them. Otherwise, I hate 'em.
It almost seems unfair to watch everyone else go ahead of you while you have been standing in line for so long. :sad1:

I call LG Baby also.
Daddy's girls. ::yes::

Maybe the raft guy was sick so the popcorn vendor volunteered to drive. :confused3

It was getting close to crunch time. They were both very hungry and tired from standing in that line for an hour then the walk around the TSI.

We've never done the steam boat. It's like Space Moutain, right? popcorn::
Yup, almost identical. :thumbsup2

I woulda been thinking "Stalker"!! :rotfl2:

I wuz afraid her mom might be thinking the same thing. :scared:

great update and pics.

Thanks Scott

Yes it was a little bit of a bummer but we got through it. LTT was perfect of lunch. The atmosphere is nice and the staff was friendly too. The only problem we had is that the bathroom was like 3 stories up and DD decided she had to go potty and would be a while. She is still too young to go by herself, so CL pulled a chair up next to the door and waited with her. Now when DD says she is going to be a while you can count on at least 15 minutes. :sad2:

:scared1: Something I found on another board that frightened me to say the least.

Hollywood Studios renamed Trump Studios

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Florida. -- In an unprecedented move, the Walt Disney World Resort has lost Disney's Hollywood Studios in a hostile take over by the Trump Organization, and it's audacious CEO Donald Trump. Previously known as Disney-MGM Studios, the park recently underwent a name change to Disney's Hollywood Studios, reflecting the changing focus of the park to reflect a celebration of the new entertainment that today's Hollywood has to offer—in music, television, movies and theater.

The Trump Organization had been in discussions with the Walt Disney Resort over several sponsorship opportunities and development projects outside of the current Disney resort areas. It became apparent, as negotiations failed, that the Trump Organization had no choice but to stage a hostile take over of one of the Disney theme parks if it was interested in putting their name in front of the thousands of theme park guests that visit each day.

Starting on April 1, 2008, Disney's Hollywood Studios will be known as Trump Studios. It will take several months for all the signage in the park and the Walt Disney World resort to be updated to show the change. Several changes to the park will be made over the coming months to reflect the new ownership:

1. All DVC locations will be converted to sales locations for the Trump Towers, high scale condominium towers located in major cities nationwide. Full scale condos will be built in the current Disney Animation building.

2. Apprentice Live attraction - The plans for the upcoming American Idol attraction have been scraped, and will be replaces with the Apprentice Live attraction. Guests will watch an episode of the Apprentice recreated by cast members, including an animatronic Donald Trump, complete with the "You're Fired" catch phrase.

3. The Backlot tour will be retrofitted to take guests on a tour of Trump properties from around the world, including Trump Tower in New York, Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas and Mar-A-Lago, Trump's palatial estate. Catastrophe Canyon will remain, but will be retrofitted to reenact a scene from a Miss USA pageant, complete with existing out of control fire and flooding.

4. The famous Mickey Mouse ears will no longer be sold in the park, but will be replaced by Donald Trump replica wigs, which are expected to be a big hit.

5. The Great Movie Ride will be converted to Trump Orlando, a full service casino, a first for a theme park.

Many other fantastic rides and attractions are to be announced in the coming months. The Donald himself looks forward to welcoming all guests to the new Trump Studios during The Donald Weekend during all the weekends in May.
