Hello everyone ! My name is Michelle. Im 31 and live in Toledo Ohio. I have 4 daughters ages 6,7, and twin 4 year olds. We have NEVER been to disney But will be going in October 2008 ... Gives me plenty of time to plan. I have been part of this board for a lil while now and mostly post on the Kids Disney Boutique Clothing board. I have made many new friends there and love to look at all the creations. I also have a wonderful husband of 9 years.

Hi my name is Marcia. I am 30 ugh how did that happen. I have three children and one on the way. DD5, DD3, and DS1. Our fourth is due the end of january. I have a DH30 we have been married for 6 years but have been together for 10. We have both taken a trip without each other and in September we will be going on our sixth trip together. We wanted to take the kids before they get a new sibling. We usually go in January and they were aware that we wouldn't be able to go because of the baby. So in order to not create any tension between the siblings we decided to squeeze in the annual trip before the baby comes. I usually just lurk I like to read about people's trips. You can get alot of info off of these boards. I discovered the boards when I researching for our trip a couple years ago. It was the best discovery ever I learned so much.

Hello Everyone,

My name is Emily and I discovered this forum a few weeks ago by Googling for information on WDW. I appreciate the helpful info I have been given. My hubby and I are taking our kids for the first time in a little over a week! I thought it would never get here.

My hubby and I are both 40, he is retired Navy so we are staying at the Shades of Green. I haven't been to WDW in over 25 years and my husband and children have never gone.

I know we are going to Florida while the weather is hot and humid and the crowds will no doubt be large, but we still can't wait to get there.

Hello all!

My name is Amy and I am a wife to my DH and mother to my DD7 and DS5. My DH and I have both gone to WDW as kids. We honeymooned in 1998 in WDW and dreamed of going back with kids. Last December we finally did! During that trip we decided to join DVC. This November, we are going to be staying at Saratoga Springs.

I frequent the Disney for Families board, Budget board, DVC boards, and Creative Disigns.

I discovered the Dis last spring while searching for info on planning our last trip and have been addicted ever since!

I have a DD-7 and a DS-5. We live in Central PA- home to Penn State University!! ( Go Lions!!)
My SIL is a disney fanatic and takes us often! We just booked a trip this Dec at the Yacht Club! I can't wait as I love disney at Christmas time.

I have watched and learned much from the boards since our first trip with the kids in 2004. I dont' post much, but I do visit often.


I am really excited to go this year as I have been actively scrapbooking since our last trip (9/06). I want to take more pics of things I didnt' think about last visit and also check out the Disney Scrapbook supplies they have in DTD. Any suggestions on supplies would be apprecatiated!!

HI all! My name is Debbie & I discovered the Disboards acouple of years like a lot of you-doing an internet search for info for a trip to Disney.

I am 48 (well in 2 weeks-might as well get used to saying it!!) DH52, DS20, DD18. I am an insurance agent & DH makes t-shirts for businesses & friends & coaches HS footbal. Our kids are in college.

I mostly lurk--love, love reading all sorts of boards--but tend to go on DVC boards (since we just bought there) Trip reports, Resorts & Budget boards. (I love the freebie thread posted weekly!) I'll only post when I feel I can add something new to the issues, b/c there are so many much more disney knowledgeable (sp?) people on these boards!! (therefore my post count is low)
My sig has the most recent trips & now that we bought at DVC, I hope to continue to go at least yearly if not more!! These boards have been great-I have learned so much more than I ever thought & on a lot of other topics other than WDW!

Hey, that's one way I found my way here, too. lol

I used to frequent mycoupons.com a lot. I became a registered member there since 1999, but I was visiting prior. I also heard about the DIS through a frugality and simplicity board I used to belong to until they started getting too dramatic.

I must have known you for years there and only now it all makes sense. lol

Hi, I am Stephanie and have been DISing first under my husband's name (lurking and not posting) and then under my own name (mainly on the scrapbooking board) for about 5 years.

I post mostly on the scrapbooking board and the family board, but lately only on the disney boutique/custom thread. It is very addicting!

We live an hour and a half from Disney, and we are members of the DVC so we usually go twice a year. Our next trip is Labor Day weekend.

I have two kids and one husband and we all love Disney. We have tried Dsiney cruising and Vero Beach and love it all!

My name is Mindy and I've been here at the DIS for about 9 months. Like everyone else here, I'm obsessed with Disney World! I love everything about it. I spend my days planning my next Disney vacations, no matter how far away it is.

I'm 31 and a SAHM to our nearly 3 year old son. DH, 32, works hard in the world of aviation. He's a corporate pilot for a local company. Before becoming a mom, I taught special education in an early intervention program. I loved my work but much prefer my new job as Mom.

I'm proud to say that I'm raising a Disney Baby. He loves Disney almost as much as I do. he talks daily about the Pirates of the Caribbean and The Big Ball aka Spaceship Earth. We've had him down twice since June, 2006, but aren't returning until May, 2009.

How long have you been DISing? How did you find the DIS?
I happened upon the DIS shortly after I returned from a trip to WDW in December 1999. I lurked for awhile and finally joined in mid-2000. Let me tell you, my heart sank when I learned about this wonderful community AFTER that trip; it sure would have helped to know about it BEFORE my trip! Nevermind, we had a wonderful trip anyway, and it was our first family trip to WDW ever (DS was 6 at the time). The DIS was a much smaller community in 2000. It has been fun to see the DIS grow, and to meet such wonderful people who share my passion for Disney.

What boards do you visit and post on most frequently?
I am a big budget board fan, and post there frequently. I also love: restaurants, resorts, theme parks, families and transportation. I recently have begun to frequent and post on the community board. I like some other Disney related web sites too, like allears, mousesavers and mouseplanet.

How many trips have you made to WDW?
I can never remember off the top of my head. I have to figure it out by where we have stayed: CBR, WL, Swan, OKW, BCV, AKL, and SSR. Okay, I guess that's seven then! We have also done a 7 day DCL cruise.

Any trips coming up?
According to my ticker below, yes I do have a trip planned. We have a visit planned for mid-October. It will be our first time trying MNSSHP, and it will be our longest trip ever...9 nights/10 days! We are staying at the Swan for the first two nights, and then transferring to AKV for the rest of our trip. This trip was a booked on impulse. We were at WDW in January of this year for 8 nights, but I found this great airfare...well...you know how it goes!

I have a small family. It's just me, my DH and DS (14). DH and I met in college and married young; he was 21 and I had just turned 22. Next Saturday is our 23rd wedding anniversary.

We live in a rivertown, bordering WI and MN, and are fortunate enough to live and work in our small town. DH is an operating engineer at a power plant, and I manage our county child support division.

We live in a home that was built in 1903, and we have slowly been renovating it. I just recently hired an interior designer, and we are in the processing of desigining our next project, which is a total gut and remodel of our kitchen, laundry room, and two bathrooms. I am excited and scared of the magnitute of this project! I love HGTV, Food Network and the Travel Channel, and think if I had to change carriers I would want to be an interior designer or a travel agent or a chef. Maybe there is a career out there that could combine all three...that would be so awesome!

Hi everyone. My name is Stephanie and I am 33y/o. I have a son who is 3 and have been married 10 years on July 12th. We live in North Carolina. I am a Disney nut. I worked at Disney in the College program in Adventure Land and Frontier Land. I didn't want to leave. Since then I went back and worked every year (so I could get in free) and then finally had to stop when I got married and got a job. We have been back since nurmerous times and this year I have 3 trips planned (Jan, Sept, and Dec) Yeah for me!!!! We also went on a 3 day Disney cruise in Jan and have booked one for Sept 2008.
I am a nurse practitioner and work in sleep medicine.

I am new to the Disboards and LOVE it. I try to get on everyday. I enjoy family, dining and resorts. Thanks to everyone for all the wonderful information.

Hello, hello!

My name is Jeannie. I found these boards before our first family vacation EVER (that is, not visiting family or moving, but just use three on a trip) in March 2007. Family is DH 34, DS6, and me, DW35! I'm sorry, I am getting a kick out of how old I am, because it is so far fetched from how old I feel!

I was born and raised in CA, and visited Disneyland on a somewhat regular basis, especially in high school, when they had the Magical Musical Days in Disney and high school marching bands were invited to march down Main St., stop and perform in front of the castle and then march out, somehow, I forget now...but I did that 3 years in a row. I was a tall flag girl in the band.

Anyway, went to WDW for one day on my honeymoon, 10 YEARS ago this past July, and the aforementioned March trip and totally looking forward to August 2007!

I hang out on Theme Parks, Restaurants, and Resorts most of the time. I also like Families and the trip boards. I am here everyday. It's a happy place for me.

Hello Hello!! I love all things Disney! As my signature says, I am a working mom (30) with 3 little princes. I have a wonderful husband who is the best (family) man in the world and I am very lucky! We will be celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary in September. DH would take all our vacations to WDW every year if we/he could!! Even though he very much loves all things Disney, he thinks I am a Disney Freak and cannot understand my obsession with DisBoards!! I am a self professed travel/planning freak/guru. I love to plan plan plan and often feel anxiety and withdrawl once our vacations are over!! I love the DisBOards just for that reason - it helps to get me my Disney FIX.

How long have you been DISing? I have been officially on the DisBoards since around 2004. I came to the Dis with many questions about anything Disney, general travel questions and for overall life/parenting advice and questions!! I have asked many types of questions on these boards and have always receievd valid, useful advice, feedback and opinions.

What boards do you visit and post on most frequently? I usually always go right to the Disney for Families thread, however, I have posted on the Disney Cruis boards, budget boards, Disney Vacation Club and hotel/accomodations boards...

How many trips have you made to WDW? I/we have made many MANY trips to WDW in our lives, they are hard to count!! My first visit was in 1979 at the age of 3... My parents first visted with my sister the very first year it opened in Florida. My great uncle actually helped build Disneyland back in the day. What a connection that is! We have vistied countless times with our parents, so many I can't even begin to calculate! BUT the magic is really happening for us now as we are taking our own children!! There is nothing more magical than that! As our own family ,we have visited 3 times, including a Disney Cruise in 2005. That was an amazing experince and will certainly be sailing again in the future!! Our 4th trip to WDW will be in March'08.

Any trips coming up? I will be booking a march 2008 vacation within the coming days. I am so very excited I can't even stand it!!! Next visit in teh coming years will be another Disney Cruise once DS#3 is a little older!

I know Disney vacations can be expensive and pricey, but I will pay most anything to see the lookson our boys faces and to get the feeling that you feel when you arrive at Disney World, any park or resort!! There is no feeling like it in the "world". We were fortunate enough for our parents to take us countless times as children, we can only hope to do the same for our kids. They are great memories that are not soon forgotten!!

My profile shows that I joined in August of 2005, but I lurked for some time before that. I found the Dis by doing a search on Google for Disney.

I mostly read and post on the DVC boards, but occasionally the Families and Restaurant boards too.

How many trips have you made to WDW?
13!! WOW! I just counted that and am shocked!

Any trips coming up?
Yes! January for 10 days!!! Going with our best friends and their 2 kids again, but this time for 10 days/9 nights. This trip will be over my baby's 2nd birthday and we can't WAIT!

My name is Lisa and DD, almost 6, is Zoe. I'm currently a WAHM and enjoying a chance to do something I'd never have considered if kind members of the DIS had not encouraged me to try about 2.5 years ago.

How long have you been DISing? How did you find the DIS?

I've been a member since 2004 when I started planning our first (and so far only) trip to WDW. I spent a lot of time here before and after the trip but then life got in the way so I had to cut back. I've come by off and on since then. Recently I've been really wanting a Disney trip but it's not in the near future so I came to the DIS for a virtual fix.

What boards do you visit and post on most frequently?
Aside from the Family board, I've been checking out the Budget and Restaurant boards (never heard of the DDP until recently). I've also looked over the DLR boards since that's more likely the next Disney destination. I also browse other boards to see what's up as time allows.

How many trips have you made to WDW?
So far only one. I'd love to go again but the distance and added cost of it versus a trip to DLR means a WDW trip probably won't happen for a few years at least. I definitely want to go while DD is still OK doing fun things with Mom, though. Zoe and I have done 2 DLR trips with my sister (once with BIL) and I'd been to Disneyland 10 times or so but that was before CA was built.

Any trips coming up?
Nothing definite but my sister, BIL, Zoe and I plan to go to DLR some time next spring or early summer. We hope, too, that other family members will be able to join us but we'll still go even if it's just us 4 (or even 3 if BIL stays home as he did on a previous DLR trip).

How many trips have you made to WDW? Lot of trips! I have an Uncle who used to work at WDW, so he would get us in! It made for a cheap holiday, we would either Fly or Drive to FL and had free accommadations in Orlando, a car to use and a few days at the parks. We were all very sad when he left to work elsewhere. He worked in the offices for 20 years.

Any trips coming up? I am going with my family(mom, dad, brother, niece) and my DD, who will be 20 months in Sept for 14 days. We are going with free dining and staying at CSR.

Family info? DH(Leon) and I have been married for 10 years and we have a daughter, Abigayle. She is 18 months right now. I am expecting our second child in January. I'll be busy, they are going to be 2 years less 15 days apart!

I started DISing last year after I quit my job to raise DD. I was doing some searching on the internet and stumbled across the DIS, the rest is history!

I spend a lot of my time on the Community Board and DVC Board.

How many trips have you made to WDW?
I went once when I was very young and then DH and I went in 2003 and I've gone at least once a year since. In February, DH and I joined DVC so I plan on many wonderful return trip thanks to that!

YES!!!! October and then in February '08.
