I hope someone can help with this one - we've been told that for our Intimate ceremony we will meet our EM four working days before the wedding. I'm trying to plan the itinerary for the holiday - ie what park to visit on which days...

My question is: How many times do we have to see the EM, and is it within working - and therefore park visiting - hours?

Do we see them every day?

Hope someone can help, my brother wants to book the astronaut experience at Kennedy and the shark tank at sea world so we need to plan the itinerary early on so he can book the days!

Thanks

RJ

I'm not sure how this works exactly, are you requesting to see her? I'm not seeing mine until the day of our ceremony. Are you sure they didn't mean 4 hours, for that's when I'm meeting with mine.

Same here. I didn't see mine until an hour before the wedding. She did fax something to our hotel room, but never met with her.

I agree with the other happy couples. We met our EM 2 hours before the wedding. She did phone us the day before when we arrived at the Grand Floridian.
Don't worry.....your day will be wondeful and beautiful. Have a delightful time.

I didn't meet my EM until I arrived at the ceremony. She called the day we arrived just to say Hi.

Ok now I'm really confused! We wanted to book into the AKL the day before the ceremony and stay offsite up until that point but were told we had to stay in a Disney hotel for four working days before the ceremony as we would need to see the EM and they would not come offsite to see us...

Does that mean we get everything sorted out by post before hand - times/music/flowers etc and just meet her at the last minute?

You should have everything finalized about 4 weeks before your wedding. This is done by phone or email. We talked with our EM the day before the wedding and then she called and told us when it was ok to come to the hotel lobby. That was when we first met her.

I wonder why they're forcing us to stay in teh AKL four days before the wedding then... well 6 if you count the weekend. The terms of our intimate wedding said 4 days stay and we wanted to check in on the morning of the wedding and then have it as our honey moon. But when we tried to book they told us it was four days *before* the wedding!
As it is we're checking out two days after the ceremony and staying off site as our four day stay at the AKL in a Savannah room became 8 days in a standard room (too many $$) because of them saying we needed to be there for the four days before to meet the EM!
I'm losing faith in Virgin Weddings Dept by the day...

There is no reason you have to stay there the six days before, you have to stay 4 days, but it doesn't have to be before the wedding. Maybe your Virgin rep misunderstood. I would call them back and book it the way you want. Although I wouldn't suggest checking in on the morning of your wedding, sometimes switching hotels and checking in is hectic and you want to be relaxed and calm.

We are coming in 4 days before our wedding and staying at Pop Century until the day of our wedding when we switch over to the Caribbean. THe coordinator that I spoke to said that they don't usually like to have people checking in or out on their wedding day, but since we had other family with rooms to get ready in they said it was no problem. So we are getting married the same day we check in. I think if you just explain the situation they will work with you.

Thanks for all of your responses on this one - I think Virgin have messed up on the four night minimum stay - making us do it before rather than after - but hey we're staying in the AKL for 8 days so I shouldn't complain!

I have managed to find out that we will be seeing a Virgin Co-ordinator rather than a Disney one and that they will spend up to a day with us the day after we check into the hotel.

I have to say I'm not very happy with Virgin so far - they are not forthcoming on any info until you pin them down and they still haven't booked my portrait session even though I asked them to do it 8 weeks ago. I'm going to try and call Disney myself this afternoon.
