Intimate wedding certificate?

So every morning I get up and read the latest great installment of Fairy_Tale_Bride's latest trippie (Click here to read it! )

I noticed her Disney Wedding certificate and that jogged my memory about something from our contract.

Do all Intimates get this certificate? Because I didn't...and I think DH would love it...so if everyone is supposed to get it maybe I should contact my WC.....

Call your EM/WC...it may depend on when you were married.

Our wedding was Sept. 2005 and we were supposed to get the certificate. I had forgotten about it and it was probably almost 6 months later when I contacted my EM and asked about it. She sent it right out.

Awww, I really want to get an Intimate certificate. It looks so beautiful, I even had a frame picked out for it and everything. I really hope it hasn't been discontinued.

We got ours back in 2004.

when I got married in 1997 I didnt get one

about 2-3yrs later I saw on a different board, an intimate ceremony photos & they had a certificate.

i called DFTW & told them I had been married & never got one.

They mailed one to me....it was really cool

Id call them & see what they say.....heck I got mine over 2yrs later...you never know

I didnt get one either Tiffany-- but i certainly e-mailed Tanis and asked her about it-- lets hope she follows through. Otherwise i might be a little unhappy camper!

I wonder if it comes framed like that too? Or if Lindsey did that herself? Looks great! I want one now

We got ours in October 2005. It's kind of funny, both of our nams didn't fit in the space provided so our names run over onto the edges of the certificate

I definitely read it was included Disney Weddings' web site at one point in time, but I don't see any mention of it in my letter of agreement or planning kit in the sections that listed the included elements. As we're finding out, if it's not listed then it's likely not included. I was very looking forward to it!

I don't have time to check their web site right now.

I checked the website and there is no longer any mention of it...not sure when they took it out. Still...a phone call can't hurt. What's the worst they can say?

The certificates are not framed. They're essentially legal sized (8.5x14) card stock. Very pretty. And they are in a folder/protector. I haven't framed mine yet 'cause I'm just not sure of the best option.

No, it's in sort of a folder. Here's a couple pictures (Disney lo-res CD quality):

You can see where our names are running off onto the gold border of the certificate - they used "Jennifer" and my maiden name is 2 words, so that with "Jonathan" and his last name = too long!

Unfortunately the certificates were discontinued just prior to you
booking your wedding with us so they are no longer available. Because
of this, we made sure that it was not listed on your contract as one of
the included items so that you would not expect to receive one. If I
had one, I would be more than happy to send it to you and Shane.

Thanks for following up with Tanis, Maggie...I thought I remembered it being in my contract. I'm going to check when I get home. But I guess it seems like they don't have them anymore regardless.

These certificates that were presented....they were in addition to the gift that is presented, right? (I'm not sure if we're supposed to say what that gift is, I believe at one point the girls on the board wanted it to be a surprise)

I'm just really following up because DH loves stuff like this. You should see the Disney things he has framed etc.....so he would absolutely have loved it.

thats to bad...they were really cute...

Maybe ....if i dont get in trouble , I can somehow copy it onto the computer & somehow fudge with it to change the names/dates & maybe I can get you a copy

Yup...it's there in my contract:

"A Disney Fairy Tale Weddings Wedding Certificate"

In Exhibit A to the contract that lists all the inclusions.

I knew I had read it. Well, at least I'm not crazy.
